Vivian Corporation was founded in 1952 by a young pharmacist, Wilfred Gatt. Wilfred gave the company its name in honour of his late brother who had died whilst still a small boy. In fact, the name Vivian - from the Roman name Vivianus - is derived from the Latin word Vivus which means 'alive'.
