I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately. I needed to focus on something that keeps me present, grounded and, quite simply, in the moment.

Yesterday, I received my Black Belt in Tai Jitsu.

It was a real roller coaster of emotions. Feeling proud of myself doesn’t come naturally to me, so experiencing that feeling so intensely was almost overwhelming.

I’m incredibly grateful to our Sensei Zsolt, Master Gustav and Sylvia, and to every one of my teammates who has been part of this journey. A black belt may be worn around the waist, but getting there is never a solo achievement.

I don’t usually share very personal things here, but some milestones deserve to be recorded. Not necessarily for an audience, but for a future version of myself who can look back and remember: I did that.

We talk a lot about the negative side of social media, but like any tool, it can also be used for something positive.

So perhaps this post is for anyone who has ever felt insecure, not good enough, or wondered whether they were capable of something.

Keep going. You don’t have to feel confident to keep showing up.

And one day, you may look back and surprise yourself.
