Ever noticed this bulge after Masseter Botox? 👀

Should you be worried? What causes it? And can it be fixed?

This is called Paradoxical Hypertrophy of the masseter. The good news? It's usually temporary and often easily corrected with a touch-up after proper assessment ✨

This lovely patient from Europe was visiting KL for vacation and somehow came across my videos while searching for aesthetic treatments online. Funny enough, she said she chose our clinic because I explained treatments in a very “serious” manner in one of the videos 😂

Maybe I should stop doing only funny videos and start behaving "seriously" online once in a while hahaha.

Her main concerns were facial sagging and thinning lips, which became more noticeable with age. We first did Ultherapy PRIME to lift and tighten the face naturally, and she was really happy with the improvement 👌

After that, we proceeded with lip fillers — and she repeatedly emphasized one thing:
“Doctor, I want it VERY natural looking.”
Challenge accepted 😎

As you can see from the before photos, her lips were thinner with visible fine lines and loss of definition. I actually injected only the RIGHT side first (upper and lower lips) so she could compare the difference herself before we continued.

For the upper lip, filler was carefully placed along the vermillion border to enhance her natural lip shape and curvature without overdoing it. I also supported the corners of the lips to create a subtle lifted, smiley appearance 😊

For the lower lip, we added slightly more volume to create better harmony and balance — that soft “golden ratio” look that still feels completely natural.
Once both sides were completed, she literally couldn’t stop smiling at herself in the mirror 🥹❤️
And the best part? She already told us she plans to come back again next year when she visits Malaysia 🇲🇾✨
