And here’s what I love most about it: this refill station doesn’t need a whole shop.

It sits in a corner of a physiotherapy centre.

A small corner.
A simple setup.
But one more place where people can choose to refill instead of buying another bottle.

Imagine if more cafés, offices, clinics, gyms, community spaces and businesses offered just one little corner for refill.

♻️ Recycling Isn’t the Hero You Think It Is

We’ve been told for years that recycling will solve our waste problem.

The truth? Recycling is important, but it should be our last resort.

Every time we recycle, energy and resources are still needed to collect, transport and process the material. Many items can only be recycled a limited number of times, and some never make it through the system at all.

Before asking, “Can I recycle this?”, try asking:

🌿 Can I refuse it?
🌿 Can I reduce it?
🌿 Can I reuse or refill it?
🌿 Can I repair or repurpose it?

Only when none of these options are possible should we recycle.

The most sustainable product isn’t the one that gets recycled.
It’s the one that never became waste in the first place.

💚 This Zero Waste Tip Monday, let’s rethink our habits. Recycling has its place, but it isn’t the hero. Our everyday choices are.

Zero Waste Tip Monday: Waste separation made easy. ♻️

Many people think waste separation is complicated. It doesn’t have to be.

Today I only used three simple categories:

🌿 Wet waste
Food scraps and other organic waste.

☀️ Clean & dry waste
Clean, dry materials that can be reused, recycled, or collected separately.

🚫 Contaminated dry waste
Anything that’s dry but dirty, such as greasy pizza boxes, used tissues, or cosmetic waste.

A few simple habits make a big difference:
🍵 Empty your tea leaves into the food waste bin before disposing of the tea bag.
💄 Keep a small contaminated dry bin at your vanity for cotton pads, tissues, makeup wipes and other cosmetic waste, instead of mixing them with clean recyclables.

The goal isn’t to sort perfectly. The goal is to stop contaminating everything by throwing it all into one bin.

Start with just three piles. Once it becomes a habit, you’ll realise waste separation is much easier than you imagined.
