Reminds me why I fell in love with dentistry in the first place — it’s not just science, it’s art.

2 years ago I did a composite veneer to this patient. Today he came back to me. The restoration was dislodge because he bite on hard bone accidentally. 
 So I redo a composite veneer for him. 
 I guess I did a better job compare to 2 years ago?

Free hand direct composite restoration on 21.
Composite used: Shofu beautifil LS INC, Ao3,B2.
Recreating the opalescence at incisal third with Shofu Beautifil LS INC.

Diastema closure for 11 and 21. This is an interesting case for me. Despite of the midline diastema, patient also having fluorosis. Tried my best to mimic the opacity and white spot of the fluorosis while closing the diastema.
Matrix used: Bioclear anterior
Composite used: Shofu beautifil LS A3, INC, Shofu injectable Xsl A3, Ivoclar white stain.

Free hand direct composite veneer from 12-22.
Bio clear anterior matrix still the best matrix to create the cervical margin and contact area for diastema closure case.
Composite used: shofu beautifil ls a2, enamel shade T, shofu injectable Xsl A2.

Lithium Disilicate crowns on 11 and 12.
Thanks DentRyt Dental Laboratory for the fantastic work. No porcelain layered, just monolithic lithium disilicate with staining.

21 is also a root treated tooth. Pt plan to do a crown too in the future. So we decided to follow the shade of 22.

Lithium disilicate inner surface preparation before cementation:
1. 9% Hydrofluoric acid for 20s.
2. 37% phosphoric acid for 1min.
3. Silane.
4. Bonding without curing.

Cementation protocol:
1. Isolation with sanctury rubberdam.
2. Protect adjacent tooth with teflon tape.
3. Sandblast prepared surface with 50micron aluminium oxide.
4. Etching with phosphoric acid.
5. Bonding.
6. Cementation with dual cure cement.

Anterior restorations on 11 21. Pt complained on the discoloured restoration and wish to change a new one. There is a class iii restoration on palatal side of both tooth. After removing the old restoration, there is only a thin enamel shell on buccal side. So i decided to remove the tooth structure for better aesthetic outcome. There is some concavities on the buccal surface too. I extended my bevel to those areas so i can cover with composite and make it a smooth surface.

Composite used: Shofu Injectable X A3, Shofu beautifil LS AO3, B3, LVT.

PFZ bridge on 11 21 22.
This pt 11 and 21 is root canal treated few years back and request to do a crown on them. However when we take an iopa, the 21 having root fractured. And Pt claimed that it will have spontaneous swelling. So after some discussions, we decided to do a bridge.
After extraction of 21, we give a temporary bridge to the pt and let the socket heal.
Thanks god the gingiva on 21 doesnt recessed much and the interdental papilla is maintained.

Anterior restoration on 21.
Composite layering with Shofu Beautifil LS AO3, B3, A2 and T.
I layered the composite using LM arte Solo anterior. This is the new composite modelling instrument by LM Arte. I found that this instrument is very handy for anterior restoration. I can complete the whole restoration with just one instrument.
