Selamat Menyambut tahun 2017 dari kami di suaveledang!!!

Terima Kasih di ucapkan kepada saudara Arief Fikry untuk ulasan beliau mengenai Suaveledang kami. Ulasan seperti ini amat bermakna bagi kami di suaveledang untuk memperbaiki lagi mutu serta citarasa pencinta pomade di Malaysia. Sama sama kita baca ulasan beliau di bawah :-

INTRODUCTION:
The pomade that I'm reviewing today is a lokal brand pomade : SuaveLedang.

Thanks to the owner of this brand for the sample and the opportunity given for me to review this pomade.
First of all, I would like to emphasize that this is a legit brand pomade.Some people might think this is a Suavecito rip off product.NO! It's not.

Suavecito, being one of the most popular Geltype pomade is being copied by irresponsible suckers.U all need to be aware that in the market there is two type of fake suavecito exist :

1.Fake : using suavecito brand,logo,same colour scheme,same plastic bottle for the packaging.But this fake is not 100% exactly like original.You will find flaws here and there-typo,color depth,scent.And what I heard is the hold is totally out.I wouldn't tried the fake suavecito bcz we didn't know what sort of chemical they put inside.Quite hard to differentiate from original unless you have used or seen an original one.

2.Rip off : using suavecito skeleton logo or name,minor alteration to the name-sawancito,skeletoncito etc.normally this rip off comes in a tin make it really easy to differentiate from original.

Back to Suaveledang pomade,
the name itself is derived from the word Suave which mean (especially of a man) charming, confident, and elegant combine with the word Ledang where the owner pay a tribute to his/her hometown Ledang in Johor.It is a nice touch to see this kind of relation that the owner being proud of his/her hometown and honoured it in his/her pomade brand.

PACKAGING:
This is an OEM pomade but the recipe is created by the owner.It comes in a white plastic container with black plastic lid.On the top there is a sticker with the Suaveledang pomade, professional grade,strong hold written on it. On the top of the Suaveledang pomade word,u can see that there is a Gunung Ledang sketch,behind the letters there is a hair shape figure and then there is a description surrounding the logo.There is a also a sticker wrapped around the container.The sticker is black colour background, using a white lettering for the description,how to apply instruction and ingredients.In the middle u can see the Suaveledang logo again.

SCENT:
Opening the container I straightaway got a whiff of the scent which is a sporty cologne scent.The scent reminds me on Jojo Shizuo pomade which is kind of having the same scent as this pomade.It's quite strong in the container and during application but its gone after a few hours.

TEXTURE/ SCOOPING:
Geltype pomade,Teh O colour pomade.Looks thick but scooping out is a breeze.I effortlessly scooped out one dime size pomade on my finger.It is amazingly thick but not gummy.It is weirdly sticky and wet, interesting texture.

APPLICATION:
Rubbing and spreading the pomade onto my palm is really-really-really easy.You can still feel the stickiness but wet and slippery.I applied on a dry hair, as expected it is easy.Go in like a water no tug and pull.

STYLING:
It's not easy to style with this pomade because you will not straightaway get the holding power, combing it in is like combing your hair with only a bit of water.No holding power at all at first.After I add in a few more scoop only I can feel some hold from this pomade.With a total of 3 scoop used, I manage to style a medium height side parted pomp.

HOLDING POWER:
Suaveledang is advertised as strong hold pomade but I only get a medium hold with this pomade.

SLICKNESS:
Because of the sticky texture, this pomade provide a good slickness.

SHINE:
Very high shine.

WASHABILITY:
Gone in one wash.No shampoo needed.

CONCLUSION:
After a few hours of using it, this pomade is still not hardened as what I expect from a standard geltype pomade.In fact, it's not hardened at all but still maintained the shape of my hair as what I style it before.

So I concluded as below

Overall : 3.8/5

** sometimes I like to use a medium hold,non hardened pomade especially for night time activities where I am less active and in a colder environments.

There is a wild thought while applied this pomade that it would be nice if there is a collaboration between x to create Raden Puteri Ratna Gumilah Sari a.k.a Putri Gunung ledang pomade
