When Colour Transfer Meets Delicate Lambskin… 👟✨

Whenever a shoe is made with leather and finished in a beautiful, vibrant colour, there is always a risk of colour transfer.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s an ordinary pair of shoes or a luxury pair from Louis Vuitton — the risk is still there.

This particular pair came to us with noticeable dark blue colour transfer along both sides of the shoes, staining the surrounding light-coloured leather and mesh.

And this was definitely not an easy job.

Why?

Because the shoes are made from delicate lambskin, while the transferred colour was a deep blue. The contrast between the dark dye and the light leather made every mark much more obvious.

More importantly, we couldn’t simply scrub the shoes aggressively or wash the entire surface at once.

Doing that could make the colour transfer spread even further — potentially leaving the shoes in worse condition than when they arrived.

So, patience was the key.

We worked little by little, section by section, carefully applying our cleaning solution onto the affected leather and mesh. Every stroke had to be controlled. Every drop had to be considered.

No rushing.
No aggressive scrubbing.
No shortcuts.

It took hours of careful work, but slowly, the blue staining began to disappear.

And eventually…

We did it. ✨

The shoes were brought back to a much cleaner and more presentable condition — without compromising the delicate lambskin.

Time had taken its toll on this Louis Vuitton bag.

One of its metal clasps had fallen off, and the gold plating on the hardware had faded after years of use. Its owner reached out to us with one simple question:

For an older bag like this, finding the correct replacement hardware is never guaranteed. Many original parts are no longer available, so sourcing a compatible replacement would be a challenge.

After an extensive search, we finally found the right replacement clasp and carefully installed it, restoring the bag’s functionality and bringing it back to its complete form.

Next came the hardware restoration.

Using meticulous craftsmanship, we professionally re-plated the worn metal hardware, reviving its beautiful gold finish and giving the bag a fresh, luxurious appearance once again.

To complete the restoration, we thoroughly cleaned the entire bag, conditioned the leather, and gave it the care it deserved before sending it back to its happy owner.
