What Destroys the Soul vs What Delivers the Believer
“For all that is in the world…” (1 John 2:16, KJV)
INTRODUCTION
The world does not attack believers randomly.
Satan uses three strategic lusts that appeal to:
What we SEE
What we FEEL
What we BECOME
Truth:
These lusts oppose grace living and spiritual walking in the Body of Christ (Gal. 5:16).

THE LUST OF THE EYES
1️⃣ PERCEIVING WITHOUT PURPOSE
(Eyes controlling the heart)
Drawn to material wealth
Attracted to outward appearance
Distracted from eternal values
Verse: 1 John 2:16

2️⃣ POSSESSING WITHOUT PEACE
(Covetous desire)
Wants what others have
Never satisfied
Leads to envy and unrest
Verse: Luke 12:15

3️⃣ PURSUING EARTHLY PLEASURE
(Temporary treasures)
Focused on riches
Blinded to spiritual wealth
Ends in loss
Verse: Matthew 6:19–20

THE LUST OF THE FLESH
4️⃣ PASSIONS WITHOUT PROTECTION
(Fleshly cravings)
Driven by sinful desires
Controlled by feelings
Opposes the Spirit
Verse: Galatians 5:17

5️⃣ PLEASURE WITHOUT PURITY
(Carnal indulgence)
Seeks sensual gratification
Rejects holiness
Produces bo***ge

6️⃣ PRACTICES WITHOUT POWER
(Living for flesh)
Weakens spiritual life
Destroys testimony
Leads to chastening

THE PRIDE OF LIFE
7️⃣ POSITION WITHOUT PERSPECTIVE
(Self-importance)
Boastful attitude
Measures life by status
Ignores dependence on God

8️⃣ POWER WITHOUT PERMISSION
(Trusting self)
Relies on ability
Glories in achievement
Rejects grace
Verse: 2 Corinthians 3:5
9️⃣ PREEMINENCE WITHOUT PURPOSE
(Living for self)
Seeks recognition
Competes for glory
Forgets Christ’s Lordship
Verse: Colossians 1:18

CONCLUSION
Lust of the Eyes → Covetousness
Lust of the Flesh → Carnality
Pride of Life → Self-exaltation
These are NOT from the Father
These are from the world

God Commands Joshua to Conquer Canaan
1After the death of the Lord's servant Moses, the Lord spoke to Moses' helper, Joshua son of Nun. 2 He said, “My servant Moses is dead. No matter what comes ahead of you. Just move. Keep going. Meditate Gods word until it becomes a living over your life. And you will be happy. Be blessed

O mesmo rio que Pedro passou a noite inteira sem pescar, é o mesmo rio onde pescaram milhares de peixes pela manhã.

O problema é quando Jesus veio pela manhã e disse: 'Você tem algum peixe?' e eles disseram que não. Ele não os aconselhou a mudar o rio, em vez disso, aconselhou-os a lançar as redes mais fundo.

Você tentou pescar durante todo o ano de 2021, mas não pegou nada. Sem trabalho, sem casamento, sem finanças, sem educação, sem renda estável, sem filhos, sem paz, sem sucesso.

Quando sua vida está indo na direção oposta, não se trata de mudar seu local de trabalho, mudar sua igreja, mudar seu marido ou esposa, ou desistir. É tudo sobre lançar sua fé profundamente em Deus, lançar sua comunhão com Jesus profundamente na crença de que Deus proverá, curará, restaurará, elevará, libertará, reavivará e trará bênçãos e favor ao longo de seu caminho. Que o Senhor lhe dê a graça de ir mais fundo.
