Why Do Some People Find It Difficult to Ask for Help?

Sometimes, people would rather struggle in silence than ask for help.

Some fear being judged, others don't want to feel like a burden, while some have been disappointed by people they once trusted.

So they keep saying, "I'm fine," even when they are barely holding things together.

But needing help does not make you weak, and accepting support does not reduce your worth.

Have you ever needed help but found it difficult to ask? What held you back?

🇳🇬 Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬

Today, we celebrate our beautiful country, not because everything is perfect, but because Nigeria is still our home, our story, and our hope.

Through the challenges, the struggles, the disappointments and the moments that test our patience, we keep going. We keep believing. We keep building.

May Nigeria become a country where hard work is rewarded, where justice is respected, where every child has an opportunity to thrive, and where peace and prosperity are not just wishes but realities.

To every Nigerian, at home and abroad, may we never lose hope in the possibility of a better Nigeria.

Happy Independence Day, my beautiful country. 🇳🇬

May Nigeria continue to rise. 🙏🏽

Thank you September for the memories and the lessons 🙏🙏

30/09/2026

Many people celebrated the first day of September, but along the way, things happened that changed their stories, while for some, their journeys came to an end.

But God took us safely to the end of the month.

It is not because we are better than them. It is only because of Mercy.

So, as September comes to an end, may we never take the gift of life for granted. May we remember those whose journeys came to an end along the way, and may we be grateful for the grace that carried us this far.

September, thank you for the lessons, the moments and the mercy. We made it to the end, and for that alone, we say: Thank You, Jesus.

What is one thing you are grateful to God for this September? ❤️

WHEN EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE MOVING AHEAD EXCEPT YOU…

Sometimes in life, you can give something your very best and still not see the results you hoped for.

You work hard.
You stay committed.
You keep showing up.
You pray.
You try again.

Yet, somehow, it feels like nothing is moving.

Then you look around and see someone putting in what seems like half the effort, and somehow, they are already achieving things you have been waiting for.

And that can be frustrating.

But life is not a race where everybody receives their rewards at the same time.

Someone else's progress is not proof that you are failing.
Their speed is not a measurement of your journey.
And a delayed result does not automatically mean wasted effort.

Sometimes, you are building something that simply needs more time.

So, if you are currently in that season where you feel like “Everybody is moving except me,” take a breath.

Keep doing what you can. Learn where you need to learn. Change what needs changing. Rest when necessary.

But please don't let somebody else's timeline make you despise your own.

Your journey is still your journey. ❤️

Have you ever gone through a season where it felt like everyone was moving ahead except you? What helped you keep going? 👇🏽

FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY
A lot of women completely stay out of family needs because they believe, “It is the husband’s responsibility to provide for the family.”

And yes, a husband may carry the responsibility of providing for his home.

But does that mean a wife who has the means should watch her husband struggle alone while all her own resources go into clothes, hair, bags, outings and other personal wants?

Marriage is partnership.

If there is a genuine family need and you have the means to help, helping your husband doesn't make you less of a woman, and it doesn't mean you have taken over his responsibility.

Sometimes, it is not about who is supposed to provide.

It is about seeing your spouse carrying a heavy load and asking, “How can I help?”

My question is: Should a wife who has the means contribute to family needs even when her husband is technically the one responsible for providing, or should each spouse strictly handle their own responsibilities?

Let's hear your thoughts. 👇🏽
