My Reflection on Gen 13:14-15:
When we trust God enough to release what we think we deserve, He often opens our eyes to a much larger inheritance than we could have secured for ourselves.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is often viewed as a quality-of-life issue, but it can also be an important early warning sign of underlying cardiovascular disease.
I was pleased to share my thoughts in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune on the topic: “Erectile Dysfunction as a Warning Sign of Possible Heart Disease.”
The blood vessels of the p***s are smaller than those supplying the heart. As a result, vascular problems may first present as erectile dysfunction years before symptoms of heart disease become apparent. Recognizing this connection provides a valuable opportunity for early detection, risk assessment, and prevention.
Men experiencing persistent erectile difficulties should not only seek treatment for sexual health concerns but should also consider a comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation. Early intervention can save lives.
As family physicians, we have a crucial role in promoting men’s health, encouraging timely health-seeking behavior, and addressing cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, and physical inactivity.
I invite you to read the interview and join the conversation on the importance of integrating sexual health into routine cardiovascular risk assessment.

Still about yesterday;
As global mobility continues to increase, infectious disease outbreaks can rapidly transcend borders, making travel medicine an essential component of public health preparedness.
Our discussion highlighted the need for a coordinated Nigerian Travel Medicine Response Framework that integrates surveillance, risk communication, vaccination services, pre-travel counselling, and cross-sector collaboration.

Official inducted today as a Certified Travel Medicine Practitioner of Nigeria
In the same event I also served as a panelist to discuss the topic “Epidemics and the Travelling Patient: Building a Nigerian Travel Medicine Response Framework in the Spirit of Dr. Adetokunbo Alakija.”

Honoured to have served as a panelist discussing the topic “Epidemics and the Travelling Patient: Building a Nigerian Travel Medicine Response Framework in the Spirit of Dr. Adetokunbo Alakija.”
The “Vital Signs” of our patients/clients should include their travel interactions in the last 21days as well as their exposure to any kind of animals.
We also reflected on the remarkable legacy of Dr. Adetokunbo Alakija, whose commitment to global health security, epidemic preparedness, and equitable healthcare access continues to inspire efforts across Africa and beyond.
Key takeaway: Effective epidemic preparedness does not begin at the point of entry—it starts with strong primary healthcare systems, informed travellers, trained healthcare professionals, and robust national policies that safeguard both citizens and visitors.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation and to engage with colleagues committed to strengthening Nigeria’s health security architecture.
