Yesterday was Nigeria’s Independence Day, and while we celebrated Nigeria, we also chose to celebrate it by learning, unlearning and relearning. 🇳🇬
Different conferences. Different rooms. Different conversations. Different perspectives.
One of the highlights for me was The Jagz Hospitality Conference 2026, themed “The Hotel at the Centre: Elections, Money & Security.” It was such an interesting gathering of industry leaders, professionals, policymakers and stakeholders having important conversations about hospitality and the wider business environment.
I had the opportunity to listen, connect and learn alongside remarkable people, including the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, the Zonal Coordinator of SCUML, Mr. Lanre Balogun, and Mr. Jonathan Odia, General Manager of The Jagz Hotel.
And what made the day even more special was celebrating The Jagz Hotel’s 2nd anniversary alongside them.
Congratulations to the entire Jagz team on two years of growth, excellence and contribution to the hospitality industry in Ibadan.
Yesterday reminded me again that growth requires exposure.
Sometimes, you need to leave your usual environment, sit in rooms where people are discussing things bigger than your immediate reality, ask questions, listen to different perspectives and allow yourself to be challenged.
Because truly, you cannot become more while remaining the same.
So yes, Independence Day was not just about celebrating Nigeria for me.
It was also about investing in the woman I am becoming. ❤️🇳🇬
Here’s to more rooms, more knowledge, more connections and more growth. 🥂

I am healthy.

I am aligned with God’s purpose for my life.
I attract the right opportunities, the right people, and the right results.
This week, I will not be distracted.
I will not be overwhelmed.
I will show up, do my part, and trust God with the rest.
This is my week. I am ready for it! 💪🏽✨

I got married… and there are some things I deliberately chose NOT to do.
And now that the wedding is over, I can confidently say:
I WOULD DO THEM ALL AGAIN.
For Love Brewed in Heaven, we were very intentional about the kind of atmosphere we wanted.
No bridal shower.
No bachelor party.
No alcohol.
No carbonated drinks.
Not even in the Èrú Ìyàwó. 😂
Instead, we had Debs Shakes Fruity Zobo doing the work. 🤭❤️
Every song played during our engagement and reception was gospel.
We had “The Altar Before the Aisle.”
We had thanksgiving after the wedding.
And above everything, we wanted Christ to remain at the centre of the celebration.
Was it everybody’s idea of a wedding? Maybe not.
Was it OUR idea of a wedding? Absolutely. ❤️
And that’s one thing I’m grateful for, we got to celebrate our love in a way that was true to us.
Looking back at these decisions now, I genuinely smile and say:
“Yes, I’d choose this all over again.” 🥹❤️
Because this wasn’t just a wedding we planned.
It was Love Brewed in Heaven. 🤍✨
Now tell me honestly… which one of these would you find the hardest to do at your own wedding? 👀😂
