THE LIVING WATER DEVOTIONAL
DATE: WED, JUN 10, 2026
TOPIC: LOVE GOD'S WORD, CONQUER REPROACH
MEMORISE:
Remove from me reproach and contempt, for I have kept Your testimonies. - (Psalm 119:22)
READ: Psalm 119:22 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
David understood the value of living by God's Word. He boldly prayed for God to remove reproach and contempt because he faithfully kept God's testimonies. His confidence came from his love for God's Law and obedience to it. Do you have such a confidence?
Reproach and contempt often arise when others mock our faith or when we stray from God's truth. Those who reject or neglect His Word lack the stability and wisdom that come from living in His righteousness.
Loving God's Word goes beyond knowing it–it means living it daily. When we treasure and obey His commands, we align with His purpose and enjoy His protection. Like David, we can ask God to defend us, knowing He honours those who honour Him. In relation to divine defence against reproach and contempt, what becomes of those who do not love God's Word? Neglecting God's Word leads to confusion and vulnerability to reproach. Embracing His Word shapes our hearts, strengthens our faith, and shields us from shame. Today, God challenges you to love and live by His Word. Let it guide your actions, build your faith, and protect you from the world's reproach.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, teach me to treasure Your Word and live by it daily.
2. Lord, remove any reproach or contempt I face for following You.
3. Pray for more of God's power and presence in CAC Odusona Region, in the life of our father, the Regional Superintendent, other officers and members at various levels, in Jesus' name.

THE LIVING WATER DEVOTIONAL
DATE: MON, JUN 08, 2026
TOPIC: SALVATION ACCORDING TO HIS WORD
MEMORISE:
My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on Your statutes. - (Psalm 119:48)
READ: Psalm 119:41-48 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
In our text, the psalmist expresses a deep longing for salvation through God's Word. He recognises that true salvation comes from obeying God's commands and seeking strength from Him to remain faithful. His words remind us that salvation is found in God alone, not in human effort or worldly pursuits (line 31), showing his commitment to walk in obedience to God's Word.
Salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith and lived out in obedience to God's will (Ephesians 2:8). The psalmist's plea for salvation according to God's Word calls us to reflect on where we are seeking salvation. Are we focused on worldly things like wealth, success, or relationships, or are we seeking God's kingdom first (Matthew 6:33)? Are we allowing His Word to shape our lives?
Like the psalmist, we should hold fast to God's Word, trusting in His promises. Let us find joy in obeying His commands and delighting in His law, experiencing the fullness of salvation through a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh (John 1:14).
PRAYER POINTS:
1. I ask for the grace to hold fast to God's Word and trust in His promises, in Jesus' name.
2. Father, in Your might, I renounce every fleeting pleasure, and hold on to Your Word only.
3. May Your Church and people, O Lord, experience the fullness of Your redemption package.

DATE: SUN, JUN 07, 2026
TOPIC: THE BLESSING OF OBEDIENCE
MEMORISE:
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. - (Isaiah 1:19)
READ: Isaiah 1:18-20 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Food safety reminds us how careful preparation leads to a healthy life, much like obedience to God leads to spiritual blessings. God's provision is linked to obedience. When He calls us to follow Him or carry out His instructions, blessings flow when we respond in faith. Elijah's experience at the brook Kerith is a prime example of this. By obeying God's command to stay there, the ravens fed him and he had water during the drought (1 Kings 17:4). Had he disobeyed, he would have missed God's provisions. Similarly, Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac, despite the emotional challenge, proves his faith. God rewarded him by providing a ram instead (Genesis 22:13-14).
Obedience often stretches us beyond our comfort zone. Just as proper food handling ensures physical well-being, adherence to God's word assures spiritual growth. Jesus highlighted this truth in Luke 11:28, saying, Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it. This reminds us of the Israelites in the wilderness. Even in desolate times, God sustained them. Their clothes and sandals did not wear out, a testimony to His faithfulness (Deuteronomy 8:4).
As we observe World Food Safety Day, let it inspire us to obey God wholeheartedly and trust His provision in every aspect of our lives.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, help me to obey Your instructions in my life.
2. Lord, help me to step out in faith and follow Your lead in all areas of my life.
3. Holy Spirit, help our ministers to always follow Your lead in all their assignments.

TOPIC: YOU SHALL BE EVERGREEN 2
MEMORISE:
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. - (Psalm 1:3).
READ: Deuteronomy 8:4, Job 22:29 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Today's dose is a continuation of yesterday's which speaks of God's sustaining power in difficult times, charging us to stay rooted in Him as a tree thrives near water. The image reflects the life God desires for His children–flourishing, fruitful, and unshaken by life's challenges. Believers rooted in God thrive regardless of external circumstances.
The realities of the world may seem overwhelming, but God's Word assures us of His provision. When others face downturns, true believers experience divine lifting (Job 22:29). The same God Who sustained Israel in the desert for 40 years and kept their garments and sandals intact is still faithful in providing for His people today.
Challenges may arise, but they underscore the importance of staying connected to God, the Source of all life. Daily communion with Him ensures a constant flow of His grace, strength and provision. Psalm 92:13 reminds us that those who are planted in the house of the Lord will flourish. Make it your priority to remain attached to Him, no matter what. The key to being evergreen is a deep and unbroken connection with God. Trust Him, rely on His Word, and watch as He transforms every season of your life into one of abundance and joy.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, keep me steadfast in my relationship with You, my Source of sustenance.
2. Father, restore life and growth to every dry and barren situation in my life.
3. Pray for our elderly that God should continually be their strength throughout their days.

TOPIC: CHILDREN ARE LIKE ARROWS
MEMORISE:
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. - (Psalm 127:3)
READ: Psalm 127:3-5 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Children are often compared to arrows, showing the significant responsibility of shaping and guiding them as they grow. Crafting arrows involves a lot of sacrifice–getting straight sticks from the bush, sharpening, and polishing. The metaphor stresses the need for intentional care and direction, equipping children to meet life's challenges with faith and resilience. This aligns perfectly with the day's theme, as we reflect on the protection and nurturing needed for innocent children affected by violence and aggression.
The world is filled with distractions and challenges. Therefore, it is essential to instil strong values and faith in children. Just as an archer must focus on his aim, we too must help our children set their sights on godly principles and purpose. Our prayers, teachings, and examples will shape their character and direction, allowing them to soar as they grow.
As we reflect on this metaphor, let us remember the importance of investing in our children's spiritual and emotional well-being. We must nurture their potential and encourage them to embrace their God-given identities.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, grant me the wisdom to guide my children on their spiritual journeys.
2. Help me Lord, to be a positive example in my children's lives as I reflect Your love and truth.
3. Pray for CAC TV, its Board, Chairman, and crew, asking God to guide and equip them for their work.

TOPIC: HOPE IN AFFLICTION 2
MEMORISE:
Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope. - (Psalm 119:116)
READ: Psalm 119:113-120 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Following on from yesterday's devotion, the psalmist reflects on the reality of facing affliction and opposition, yet finds hope and comfort in God's Word. He acknowledges those who oppos oppose him, saying, I hate the double-minded, but I love your law (line 113). Despite adversity and persecution, the psalmist remains devoted to God and His commandments. He finds refuge in the Scripture, declaring, You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word (line 114 NIV).
In times of trouble, he takes shelter in God's promises, trusting that God will sustain and deliver him. His example reminds us that even in the darkest moments, we can find hope. Like the psalmist, We must trust on God's word for strength and encouragement..
May we be inspired to anchor our hope in God's promises, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, especially in times of affliction. Let us trust in His faithfulness to guide and deliver us, even through our trials.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Let us appreciate God that in moment of afflictions we have Him as our means of consolation.
2. Let us ask God to grant us the grace to draw strength from His unfailing love and faithfulness.
3. Pray for more of God's power and presence in CAC Olutimehin Region, in the life of our father, the Regional Superintendent, other officers and members at various levels, in Jesus'name.

TOPIC: CELEBRATING THE HEART OF PARENTING
MEMORISE:
Honour your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise. - (Ephesians 6:2)
READ: Isaiah 2:2-3 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
On this Global Day of Parents, let us honour the essential role parents play in shaping the lives of children. Parenting is far more than providing material needs; it is about guiding, nurturing and teaching our children the values that matter most. Today's reading reminds us of the important responsibilities both children and parents have. Children are called to respect and obey their parents, while parents are given the duty to nurture with love and patience, avoiding anger and frustration. When this balance of love, respect and guidance is upheld, it lays a strong foundation for peace and blessings in the family/home. Through this, parents cultivate a home that reflects God's love. This brings lasting joy and harmony.
Let this day be a moment to reflect on how we are nurturing and guiding the next generation. Parenting is a sacred responsibility and by embracing Christ's wisdom and love, we would create families that are built on trust, faith and respect.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, help me to honour and obey my parents as You command, knowing that blessings are tied it.
2. Father, grant me the wisdom to be a nurturing and loving parent, raising my children in Your ways.
3. God, heal any broken bonds between parents and children; restore their love, respect and understanding.

THE LIVING WATER DEVOTIONAL
DATE: SUN, MAY 31, 2026
TOPIC: THE LIVING WATER AT WORK
MEMORISE:
But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. - (John 4:14)
READ: John 4:7-14 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
In John 4, Jesus offers the Samaritan woman at the well, Living Water-something that quenches the deepest thirst of the soul. This same Living Water is available to us today, and as Christians, we are called to carry it into every area of our lives, including our workplaces.
Many of our colleagues may not say it, but they are thirsty-longing for peace, meaning, and hope amid the pressures of their work. Beneath the busy schedules and professional smiles, there is a hunger only Christ can satisfy. What if you could be the vessel through which this Living Water flows? A kind word, a prayer, or simply listening to someone's struggles can be the channel for Christ's refreshing touch. You don't need a pulpit to make an impact-your workplace is your mission field. Every interaction is an opportunity for divine encounters.
When you reflect Christ's love, you allow the Holy Spirit's power to flow through you. It is not about preaching but being present, letting Christ transform conversations, relationships, and lives around you.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, help me be a vessel of Your Living Water, bringing hope and peace to others.
2. Father, guide me to recognise the thirst in others and offer them the refreshing power of Your Spirit.
3. Lord, I pray for my colleagues, that they may experience the Living Water of Christ.

TOPIC: THE GIFT OF PEACE
MEMORISE:
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. - (John 14:27)
READ: John 14:25-31 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Grace is God's gift, freely given to us regardless of our flaws. It teaches us to act with love and mercy, not out of duty or personal achievement. When we accept God's grace, we no longer struggle with perfection. Instead, we can share that same grace with others, bringing peace, especially in difficult situations, such as conflict zones. Grace in our lives helps us spread peace in the world.
Jesus gives a unique peace, unlike what the world offers. It comes from knowing Him, even as He remains with us, even in difficult times. This peace is not tied to life's circumstances but is a deep assurance of trust in Him.
To feel this peace, we must let go of our fears and worries and trust God's control over everything. His promises comfort us beyond understanding and calm our hearts and minds. His peace is constant, reminding us of His love and care even in uncertainty.
By relying on His grace, we are never alone in our struggles. God's peace strengthens and guides us through the storms of life. Trust in His peace to face each day with hope, knowing that He is with you and will help you through every challenge.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
2. Holy Spirit, help me to release my worries to Jesus and find comfort in Your presence.
3. Pray for CAC Publicity Department, the Director and other staff for God's help to create more awareness about the Church and the Gospel, in Jesus' name.

THE LIVING WATER DEVOTIONAL
DATE: MON, MAY 25, 2026
TOPIC: THE POWER OF AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT
MEMORISE:
Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. - (Daniel 6:3)
READ: Daniel 5:5-13 (NKJV)
EXPOSITION:
Excellence is God's very nature. Everything He does reflects perfection, beauty, and order. As His children, we are called to reflect this same spirit of excellence, just as Daniel and his friends did in Babylon. Daniel stood out because of the excellent spirit in him. This excellence was not only in his skill but also in his character, integrity, and devotion to God. His excellent spirit influenced an entire kingdom, advancing God's rule in a foreign land.
Excellence isn't optional for believers; it is our calling. It sets us apart in a world that often accepts less. As Christians, we must embrace excellence in everything we do. Mediocrity has no place in God's Kingdom. Whether in our careers, relationships, or service, we must aim to reflect God's best. Excellence glorifies God and draws others to Him. However, it requires discipline, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of God's best. It is a lifestyle–a commitment to honouring God in all we do. When we embrace excellence, we position ourselves to influence and transform the world around us.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Lord, fill me with an excellent spirit in all I do, reflecting Your perfection and glorifying Your name.
2. Father, help me improve my character, integrity, and devotion to You, like Daniel did.
3. Lord, I pray for believers, that they may embrace excellence and influence the world for Your Kingdom.
