SKIN BY KY
Not just a Skincare retailer

This is what a Skin Audit looks like.
Every routine tells a story.
This one ends the guesswork.
DM AUDIT to start.

The rain has given me something I don’t usually have.
A quieter week.
So I’m using it to plan my July audit calendar before the season gets busy.
Every year, July and August look different.
Some women are travelling.
Some finally have time to focus on themselves.
Some want to rebuild their routines before the second half of the year.
One thing never changes.
I only open the number of audit appointments I can personally complete well.
I’d rather ask someone to wait than rush the work.
A thought from my desk today:
The next decision isn’t another product.
It’s finally understanding your skin.
The last two slides are messages I receive almost every month.
They’re a reminder that most women reach out when they’re ready to stop guessing.
If that moment has arrived for you — DM AUDIT.

One client left this consultation with one instruction:
Remove Tranexamic Acid.
Another left with:
Add Tranexamic Acid.
Same product.
Two completely different decisions.
Most people want to know whether a product is good.
That’s rarely the question I’m answering.
I’m deciding whether it belongs in your routine.
The product wasn’t wrong.
The diagnosis changed the decision.
Already know Tranexamic Acid is right for your skin?
DM SHELF.
Not sure?
DM AUDIT.

I told one client to stop using this product.
Three days later, I recommended it to someone else.
The product wasn’t wrong.
The diagnosis changed the decision.
Already know Tranexamic Acid is right for your skin →
Not sure if it is → DM AUDIT.

Three audits this week.
Different products.
Different budgets.
Same gap.
Every single routine was packed with actives layered onto a barrier that couldn’t handle them.
The problem wasn’t a lack of products.
It was a lack of clarity.
DM AUDIT.

Good products aren’t scarce.
Good decisions are.
That’s why so many shelves are full and so many people are still frustrated.
Whether it’s Paula’s Choice, Sunday Riley, Medik8, Naturium or any of the countless other brands competing for space on your shelf.
The question is:
Which ones are working for you?
The fix was never another product.
It’s knowing which does do the job and letting the rest go.
That’s the difference between owning skincare and seeing results.
DM AUDIT.

Good products don’t guarantee good results.
Good routines do.
Five good products here.
But no cleanser.
No moisturiser.
No barrier support.
All correction.
No foundation.
Skincare isn’t about collecting good products.
It’s about building a routine where every product has a job.
DM AUDIT — I’ll tell you what’s working, and what’s just taking up space.

Similar ingredients. Different outcome.
She replaced products in her routine with cheaper alternatives.
On paper, it made sense.
The ingredients matched.
The routine didn’t.
Because skincare isn’t a shopping list.
It’s a system.
Two products can contain similar actives and still play completely different roles inside a routine.
Most people compare ingredients.
Skin by Ky compares routines.
DM AUDIT.

Most people don’t come to me with bad products.
The products may be right — for someone.
The question is whether they’re right for you.
The symptom was real.
The assumption about what was causing it wasn’t.
That’s why copying someone’s routine rarely works.
I start with understanding your skin.
Then we talk products.
DM AUDIT — I’ll tell you if you even need one.
