MISTAKE #2: CUTTING OR DAMAGING THE WEFT

The way a weft is handled during construction can directly affect the longevity and performance of a wig.

Unnecessary cutting, damaging the weft during construction, or repeatedly loosening and re-sewing wefts can weaken the structure of the weft and contribute to shedding over time.

Where possible, I encourage wig makers to preserve the integrity of the weft and use construction techniques that minimise unnecessary damage.

A beautiful wig is not just about the hair you choose, I t’s also about how well you protect it throughout the construction process.
