Congrats to the newly wedded! 🎉 Prince Dr. Val & Princess Emeka. And single & searching ladies & Gentlemen. Marriage is beautiful, but it’s also a daily learning curve. Here is my little advice that actually helps, especially for the first 1-2 years:
1.)TALK 👉
Silence k*lls faster than arguments. If something bothers you, like Housekeeping allowance. Mother, father, sister or brother in-laws , say it calmly before it becomes a grudge.

2)Team first, always👉
It’s you + spouse vs the problem, not you vs spouse. When outsiders criticize him/her, defend your partner in public, correct in private.

3)Money & Phone
Decide early: joint account, separate, or both? Budget together monthly. Nothing breaks peace like hidden debt or secret spending. Stay out of each others phone, expect on a mutual understanding.

4)Share the house load👉Cooking, bills, dishes, nobody should carry it alone.

5)Laugh daily🤣👉
Marriage without laughter😂 is just logistics. Crack jokes, tease each other, watch comedy. “Enjoyment gallon” should be part of the plan 😄

6)Honor each other’s people👉
Your mother-in-law is not your enemy. Your sister or brother-in-law is not a threat.
7) Very important 👉 Don't deny each other s*x. Even God approved it.

9)Remember your “why”👉
On tired days, remember why you said “I do”. Keep pictures, messages, that wedding dance video. Joy is a choice you make.

Marriage is 100% two people giving 100%, not 50/50. Give grace, get grace.
