Candid Saturday Moment, Tribe ❤️

Saturday. Sitting on purpose in something that’s actually just mine.

A Rung 2 kind of morning—and honestly, it feels genuinely good to say that. 😊

Just making room for me.

Tell me, Tribe, how are you giving back to yourself today? ❤️

Give it a name. Make the time. Breathe into it.

This month we named: over-functioning, the trap of "I'll just handle it," quiet resignation, and the ladder underneath all three.'

If any single post this month made you say 'oh, that's exactly me,' go back and save it now — that's the one to return to when the climb starts again.

Go save the one that mattered.

Knowing your rung interrupts the climb.’

You can’t put down what you haven’t named. Naming was this month’s whole job.

Sometimes you’re not confused—you’re just carrying something you haven’t fully named yet.

The pressure.
The resentment.
The exhaustion.
The boundary you keep avoiding.
The thing you know isn’t working, but you keep telling yourself, “I’m fine.”

Before you can change what’s happening, you have to be honest enough to name what’s happening.

Name it. You don’t have to fix it yet. Just name it.

Save this prompt and come back to it when you need a moment of honest reflection.

Maybe the most important question isn’t, “What rung am I on?”

It’s “How did I get here?”

Because this isn’t just about identifying a rung on a ladder. It’s about recognising the different levels of exhaustion we move through every day and putting a name to what we’re actually feeling.

Sometimes, what we call “stress” is something deeper. Sometimes, what feels normal is actually a sign that we’ve been carrying too much for too long.

And sometimes, the rung we think we’re on isn’t actually the rung we’re on.

Knowing where you really are matters because you can’t make a meaningful change around something you haven’t honestly recognised.

This conversation is about noticing where you are before exhaustion starts feeling normal. ❤️

Have you ever noticed how tightly you're holding on?

Not just to the big things. To all of it. The project nobody else will do quite right. The family plans. The group chat you always organise. The thing at work you could hand over, but it's just faster if you do it yourself.

When you're climbing that ladder of over-functioning, you don't just stand on each rung. You grip it. Because letting go feels risky. What if it falls apart? What if it's not done properly? What if people realise they don't need you as much as you thought?

But here's the quiet truth: most of us aren't being asked to let go of everything. Just one thing.

One task that was never really yours. One yes that could have been a "not this time." One worry you've been carrying on your own for far too long.

It takes courage to loosen your grip, even a little. And that courage doesn't have to come from you alone.

"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you." Psalm 55:22

Maybe today, that one thing is already on your mind. You don't have to do anything dramatic with it. Just notice it, and consider what it might feel like to finally hand it over. 🤍

What's the one thing you've been gripping tightest lately?
