Two days ago, I stepped out to my neighbourhood to buy a few things. While making my request, a woman standing with the seller looked at me and said, “Ma, you’re smelling so nice. You’ve been smelling nice since you walked in!” 😍
I smiled and said, “Thank you, but this isn’t even the clothes I wore when I sprayed the perfume, and I sprayed it since morning.”
She exclaimed, “Please, I need it!” 😂
As a perfume vendor, preach your business to yourself before preaching to others. Let your fragrance do the talking before you do. Don’t hide it!
I’ve secured customers around my environment simply because they perceived my fragrance and asked what I was wearing. Your product should speak for you.
Wear it. Flaunt it. Let them ask. Let your fragrance advertise you. ❤️

I make it a habit to check up on my customers
One of my biggest buyers stopped ordering from me early last year. I reached out several times without a response and almost gave up.
Today, after reading about the importance of following up, I decided to message her again.
Immediately, I introduced myself, she replied, "Madam, I lost my phone o!" She was so happy to hear from me. She also said this rainy season has been slow for business but promised to get back to me.
The lesson? Never be too quick to assume your customers have forgotten you.
Life happens. Keep reaching out, you may not know what they're going through.

As much as I sell perfumes doesn't mean I'll have every single fragrance you ask for.
The perfume industry is huge, and new scents are released regularly. Whenever a customer requests a fragrance I don't have, I document the name and plan to restock it.
Sometimes, I even ask customers to send me a picture of the perfume to make sure I get the exact one.
So, if your perfume vendor doesn't have a fragrance you're looking for, don't feel bad.
Instead, let them know you'd love them to stock it. You'll agree with me that running a perfume business requires a lot of capital, so we build our collections gradually.
