Today, 23 September,
I turned 42 here in the Netherlands.

Feel like both my life and my career are
only just getting started.

The seeds I planted throughout my 20s and 30s are slowly beginning to bloom, one by one.

Since moving to a different country and starting from
a new base, I’ve felt this more strongly than ever.

It feels like I’m finally connecting the dots and thinking,
“Ah… so this is what it was all for.”

But I also know I can’t keep running the same way
I did before.

Thankfully, both mentally and physically,
I feel stronger, healthier and more grounded than
I ever did in my 20s or 30s.

And first of all, I’m grateful for that.

To my parents who raised me.
To my wife and children who share this life with me.
And to all the people around me who believe in me and still need what I can bring.

What value can I create?
What can I leave behind in this world?

That’s what I want to find out.

I still have a lot to prove.

42 is just the beginning.

I’m going all in💪

本日9/23、この地オランダにて42歳になりました。
キャリアも人生もこれから本番です。
20〜30代で蒔いた種が少しずつ順番に花を咲かせているのを、国や拠点を変えてヒシヒシと実感しています。
あ、こういうことなんだなって答え合わせがさせてもらってる感じです。

これまでとは走り方も変えなければいけません。

幸い、心身共に20〜30代より遥かに調子が良く、
安定しています。

まずはそのことに感謝です。

育ててくれた両親。
共に人生を生きてくれてる妻や子供達。
そして周りの僕を必要としてくれる仲間たち。

どんな価値を生めるか。
何を世界に遺せるか。

証明するのはこれからです。
ゴリゴリ頑張っちゃうんだから💪

A logo can make you memorable.

Your website creates credibility.

Your content creates awareness.

But none of those are your brand.

Your brand is created by your people.

At Global Hair Collective, people come first.

Their identity comes first.

Their individuality comes first.

The brand is there to give them a platform, help them rise and echo their voice.

Your people are your brand.

AirTouch, balayage, and every other skill are not the design itself.

They are simply tools to bring a design concept to life.

What really matters is understanding the characteristics of each skill and technique:
what it can achieve, how it behaves, and most importantly, why you are using it.

A finished look does not equal a technique.

Skills and techniques are simply methods we use to turn creativity into reality through colour.

It is not the destination.
It is the language we use to express the idea.

Now that I’ve moved my base from Japan to Europe,
the day has finally come when I can share this incredible honour with the world.

I’ve joined Global Hair Collective as a "Global Educator" and as "Head of Experimental Colour".

For me, colour has never been about following a formula, it’s about pushing what’s technically possible.

This role means setting that standard globally and mentoring the educators working within it.

And I’m truly proud to stand here with the legends
I’ve looked up to since I was building my career in Japan, now as fellow founding members.

Obviously it would be amazing if I could bring everything
I experience and learn from here as an artist and educator back to assort hair as well.

日本からヨーロッパへ拠点を移したこのタイミングで、
やっとこの信じられないほど光栄なことを世界に伝えられる日を迎えました。

この度、新たに発足した世界中のエデュケーターを繋げるグローバルコミュニティ「Global Hair Collective」に
"Global Educator"そして"Head of Experimental Colour"として参加します。

僕にとってヘアカラーとは決められた公式に従うものではなく、スキルとクリエイティビティ、そして多角的な視点でその限界を押し広げ続けるものです。

この役割では、そのスタンダードを世界規模で築き、
そこに関わるエデュケーターたちを育成していく役割も担います。

GLOBAL HAIR COLLECTIVE のチームと共に、
この役割を担えることをとても嬉しく思います。

日本でキャリアを積んでいた頃からずっと見てきた世界のレジェンドたちと、今こうしてコアメンバーとして肩を並べられることを心から誇りに思います。

もちろんここからアーティスト、エデュケーター、そして人として得るすべての経験や学び、繋がりをassort hairとスタッフに最大限還元していけたら最高です。

前例のないことは常にリスクや不安がセットですし
これまでとは規模が桁違いなのですが、
とりあえずいよいよワールドクラスの教育に首突っ込んでみますので、日本の皆さん見ててくださいw
