Hi, I’m Lou 👋 Scottish, Amsterdam-based and the hands & heart behind LannaLou.

A few years ago, this wasn’t the plan at all.

I’d actually started learning Thai massage before I burned out. I’d randomly signed up for a course alongside my old career in teaching - and then, a couple of months in, life basically went “nope” 🙅🏻‍♀️

For a while I had very little energy for anything. But somehow, Thai massage was one of the things I could still show up for. It was the one thing that made me feel better, that got me out of my head, back into my body and feeling a little more like myself again.

And slowly I started thinking… hang on, this s**t actually works!

So I kept learning. And eventually I went all in: gave up my apartment, put what was left of my life into storage and moved to Chiang Mai for three months to train in Thailand.

Very much a “f*ck it, let’s see where this goes” situation 😅

Turns out, it went somewhere 🙌

I’ve kept going back to Thailand to study ever since, and earlier this year I returned again and became certified to teach Thai Yoga Massage, which still feels a little surreal to say 😆

These days you’ll find me in my little massage room in Amsterdam West in Go! Health Clubs Amsterdam working on both the mat and table. I offer traditional Thai Yoga Massage, deep tissue and relaxing oil massage, back, neck & shoulder treatments and foot reflexology - all with the same aim - helping you move better, switch off for a while and leave feeling a bit more like yourself.

I’m not particularly interested in pretending to be a zen master 😜 I swear, I laugh, I’ll happily chat if you want to chat, and I’m equally happy to let you completely switch off in silence. I just really bloody love what I do.

So whether you’ve been here for ages or you’ve just found me - thanks for being here 🙏💚
