Some of the best creative days happen when there’s no timeline and no pressure—just two creatives girlies making something beautiful together.
I’ve been working with Georgia Waddington for the past three years, and every time we shoot, we inspire each other in different ways. This time was no different.
Content days like these aren’t just about pretty photos. They’re about experimenting, refining your eye, building relationships, trying new ideas and investing in your brand … and having fun along the way 🤩

One of my favourite things is helping women create photos that feel as premium as the businesses they’re building.
Today I created these images for Akanksha Verma | Mrs. Asia International NZ 2026 👑 and I absolutely love how they turned out. Every detail—from the hair and makeup to the styling and posing—was chosen to create a clean, elevated and timeless look.
If you’re planning new branding photos, here are a few tips I always recommend:
✨ Wear colours that work with you.
Knowing your colour palette makes a huge difference. Some colours make you look fresh and radiant, while others can wash you out. If you’re unsure, timeless neutrals like black, white, cream and beige are always a safe, elevated choice.
✨ Choose jewellery that suits your skin undertone.
For this look, we chose gold jewellery to complement her warm, bronzed skin. It’s a subtle detail, but it adds so much harmony and makes everything feel more polished.
✨ Keep your hairstyle simple.
Your hair should frame your face, not distract from it. A sleek bun, polished blowout or clean, simple style almost always photographs better than something overly complicated.
✨ Don’t over-pose.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is trying too hard. Relax your shoulders, soften your expression and let your confidence do the work. The most premium-looking photos usually feel effortless.
✨ Go for glowing, timeless makeup.
Instead of heavy or trendy makeup, focus on healthy-looking skin, soft definition and a radiant finish. You want people to notice you, not just your makeup.
✨ Remember: less is more.
Luxury is rarely loud. A clean outfit, minimal styling and attention to the little details will almost always look more expensive than trying to do too much.

The real reason your makeup looks cakey 👇
Most people think cakey makeup is caused by “too much makeup.”
In reality, it’s usually caused by skin that isn’t properly prepared and moisturised ✨
As a makeup artist, I can adjust products and techniques to suit your skin type—but I can’t completely undo weeks of dehydration, flakiness, or skin barrier damage on the morning of your appointment.
Here’s what I recommend before any professional makeup application:
✨ Focus on hydration in the weeks leading up to your event
✨ If you’re using retinol or other strong active ingredients and notice dryness or flaking, consider pausing them for 1–2 weeks before your appointment
✨ Avoid aggressive skin treatments, peels, or trying new skincare right before your event
✨ If you dermaplane, do it a few days beforehand (and never for the first time right before a big event)
✨ Keep brows groomed and facial hair maintained for the smoothest makeup application
✨ Skip heavy masks immediately before your appointment, as product residue can interfere with makeup performance
✨ Choose nourishing, hydrating skincare products that support a healthy skin barrier
The truth is, dry and flaky skin will show through even the most expensive foundation!
The best makeup doesn’t start with foundation.
It starts with your skin.
Save this for your next event 🤍
