The spec sheet on the RE+5 Nano Keratin kit, for anyone costing up a smoothing service:

• Formaldehyde free
• 3–4 months of result, per RE+5
• A three-step protocol — Detoxifier, Nano Smoothing, Smooth Extender
• 800ml + 800ml + 350ml professional sizes

The 800ml bottles are the part salon owners ask about first. This is built for column work, not for one take-home treatment.

Trade account only — Nano Keratin isn't a retail line. Hairstuff, Monteith Crescent, Remuera, Mon–Fri 10–5 and Sat 10–1.

Formaldehyde is the reason a lot of stylists quietly stopped offering keratin smoothing — the fumes, the ventilation, the headache by the third client of the day.

RE+5's Nano Smoothing keratin treatment is formaldehyde free. Same service, without that part of it.

It's step 2 of a three-part kit: Detoxifier to clarify first, Nano Smoothing to treat, Smooth Extender to hold it afterwards. RE+5 states 3–4 months.

Keratin and Nano Keratin are trade-account lines at Hairstuff — professional use, not retail shelf. If you're a stylist and you want to see it in person, we're on Monteith Crescent in Remuera.

Mon–Fri 10–5, Sat 10–1.

That yellow is thicker than most masks, and it is meant to be.
The Karseell Maca Power Repair Set is two pieces: the 500ml Collagen Hair Mask and the 100ml Maca Essence Oil. What the clip shows well is the consistency. The mask has a much heavier body than a standard conditioner, and that matters at the chair, because it holds on the comb instead of running off the section while you are still placing it.
How we suggest using the two together: a small amount of the oil worked into the scoop of mask first, which loosens the texture slightly and makes it easier to distribute evenly. The oil on its own is also a perfectly good finishing product on dry ends, a few drops emulsified in the palms before it goes near the hair.
Both pieces sit in the retail range, so anyone can buy them over the counter without a trade account. Karseell shares our shelves with Echosline, RR Line, Lourich, RE+5 and Karefill.

The comb is doing more work here than the mask is.
Karseell Maca Power Collagen Hair Mask, with a little Maca Essence oil stirred through the scoop before it goes anywhere near the head, then combed section by section from the mid-lengths down. That combing step is the whole difference between a mask that coats the outside of a ponytail and one that actually reaches every strand.
A few notes from behind the counter. Work on towel-dried hair rather than soaking wet: water already sitting in the cuticle leaves less room for anything else. Start at the ends and move upward, because the last 10cm are the oldest hair on the head and have been through the most. And rinse it properly. Under-rinsing is the most common reason a mask leaves hair feeling heavy instead of smooth.
Karseell is one of six brands we stock at Hairstuff, alongside Echosline, RR Line, Lourich, RE+5 and Karefill. The collagen mask and the essence oil are both retail range, so no trade account is needed.

Toning at the basin, and the part clients never really see is the bowl.
Karseell Maca Power Purple Hair Mask, used the way it is meant to be used: on lengths that have already been lifted, not on virgin hair hoping for a change. What you are watching is violet pigment sitting on the hair, and then most of it leaving again in the rinse. What stays behind is a cooler cast across the blonde sections.
Two things worth knowing if you stock it. It is a mask, not a shampoo, so it goes onto damp towel-dried hair and gets timed like a treatment. And how long you leave it on is a function of how porous the hair already is: blonded mid-lengths will grab it far faster than the root.
Karseell is one of six brands we carry at Hairstuff, alongside Echosline, RR Line, Lourich, RE+5 and Karefill. The purple mask is part of the retail range, so it can be bought over the counter without a trade account.

RE+5 Nano Keratin Treatment Kit — the whole 1-2-3 system in one shot.

1. Keratin Detoxifier, a pretreatment shampoo. Clarifies and preps the hair before anything else goes on it.
2. Nano Smoothing, the keratin treatment itself. Formaldehyde free.
3. Smooth Extender, a prolonging mask, to hold the result between appointments.

0% formaldehyde, and RE+5 states 3–4 months. That combination is why we brought it in.

Nano Keratin is a professional line — trade account only, not sold over the counter. Salon owners and stylists, come and look at it.

Hairstuff, Monteith Crescent, Remuera. Mon–Fri 10–5, Sat 10–1.

That violet running down the drain is the part people are not ready for.

Bleached lengths at the basin, Karseell Maca Power Purple Mask worked through, and then a rinse that stains everything it touches. The pigment leaving in the water is the pigment that had nowhere to sit — what stays behind is what turns the yellow down.

Two things stylists get asked about this constantly: use it on brassy hair rather than hair you have just toned, and wear the gloves. The stain on skin and on a white basin is real.

The plastic wrap is not for the camera.

Once the Karseell Maca Power Collagen mask is combed through the mid-lengths and ends, wrapping the hair holds the client's own warmth against it while it sits. It also keeps the mask off her shoulders, which is the less glamorous half of the reason.

The gold Maca Essence oil goes in first, worked into the mask in the jar. Comb, wrap, leave it, rinse it properly — people almost always under-rinse a mask this rich and then wonder why the roots feel heavy.

Both stocked at Hairstuff, Monteith Crescent, Remuera.

Maca Essence oil goes into the mask, not on top of it.

Karseell sell the Maca Essence oil and the Maca Power Collagen mask separately, and most people at home use one after the other. In the chair they get combined — a few drops of the oil folded through the mask in the jar before any of it reaches the comb, so the oil travels down the strand with the mask instead of sitting on the outside of it.

Then it is the ordinary discipline: section, comb it through properly, let it sit, rinse, dry, and only then the iron.

Karseell is on the shelf at Hairstuff, Monteith Crescent, Remuera. Mon–Fri 10–5, Sat 10–1.

Curly hair, and the mask goes on in the shower.

Long, tight curls, soaked through, then Karseell collagen mask worked in and pulled through with a wide-tooth comb from the top of the head down to the ends. Curly hair tangles easily when it is wet and loaded with product, so the comb is doing the detangling while the mask gives the hair some slip - that is the moment to do it, not on dry hair later. Rinse under the shower, then dry.

A couple of things worth copying from this clip: comb from the ends upward if the hair is very knotted, and leave the top of the head until last so the roots do not get weighed down.

The Karseell collagen mask is a retail item at Hairstuff, Monteith Crescent, Remuera. Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-1pm.
