💚 Women supporting women.
I was so happy to donate a Clever Curl bundle + a $100 Curl Alchemist voucher to a lucky lady at the Ladies Night: Verity, hosted by Stacey and the amazing team at Reading Cinemas Dunedin. ✨
After chatting with Stacey, she told me something that really stuck with me. Every donation came from women in business who wanted to give something back to the women in our community.
Because let’s be honest… as women, we’re often the first person we put last. We look after everyone else, juggle everything, and tell ourselves we’ll get around to doing something for us later.
So this one felt extra special. 🥹
A little reminder that you deserve to be looked after too. To take some time for yourself. To feel good. To be spoiled. And sometimes, just to receive something without having to give anything back.

As a textured hair specialist, you’ll hear me say this a LOT.
But… on this occasion, I’m going to show you why there’s a little more to it. 😉
I’ve been doing Deborah's hair for around 6 years, so I know her hair, her wave pattern and, importantly, its limits.
This full head of foils was carefully planned around maintaining the integrity of her hair. That means knowing when to lighten, when to leave it alone, using the right products at home, and not pushing the lightener too frequently.
