I am a makeup artist currently living in Tauranga Bay of Plenty but happy to travel where need be. I have been experimenting with makeup for over 5 years now and it has grown to be one of my greatest passions. I have 5 years experience in the Wedding Industry and specialize in makeup that enhances your natural features.
Part 1 - Skin prep! ๐ซถ
When it comes to event makeup, I donโt like to have too many layers of skin care unless itโs necessary for their skin type!
Normal skin: - moisturizer & primer is usually enough
Oily skin: a light weight moisturizer or serum , oil absorbing primer
Dry skin: layer a serum and a moisturizer
Sometimes Iโll start with a hydrating spray as well because itโs nice and light and goes into the skin quickly

Six months before her wedding, we started a course of microneedling treatments every four weeks through my skin clinic, DMK Clinic Gisborne | Acne, Eczema & More to have her skin looking its absolute best on her wedding day.
It made such a difference to how beautifully her makeup applied, allowing for the freshest, most skin-like finish. Her natural glow was really able to shine through ๐ฅนโจ
During the week of the wedding, we also chose a lash lift and dark brown lash tint instead of false lashes. It enhanced her beautiful natural lashes while keeping the overall look soft, fresh, and timeless, so we could really lean into glowing bronzey, blushy skin ๐
I loved this look and loved helping Anya feel her best for it. Itโs such a special time ๐ฅฐ๐ค

Back with eyes & lips! What store should I do next?? ๐ Are we enjoying this type of content? I think itโs so much better to go into stores like this with a game plan- otherwise it can be really easy to get overwhelmed with all the options!
