🩷 Rachel is an internationally recognised nail judge and multi-award-winning competitor with over 30 years’ experience in the nail industry. In 2018, Rachel was crowned New Zealand Nail Technician of the Year. She is an educator, mentor, health and safety advocate, and the owner of Christchurch-based nail studio Polished.

🩷Rachel is passionate about nail artistry, education and continuing to elevate the standards of the nail industry.

🩷 A few words from Rachel! 🤩

🩷 I like to think of myself as a curious nail tech, always buffing away at the irksome surface. An exasperatingly dramatic wordsmith, over-thinker and established pen thief. Honorary questioner, and lover of 90’s rap, I’ve been involved in the nail industry for over three decades now and realise this makes me sound really really old. My mission is to expose the big questions that lie within the mani-verse, whilst simultaneously peeling the spuds.

🩷 Fortunately, in my time I've seen standards rise, along with health and safety practices, and a unity of the industry with more awareness of personal preferences and differences.

🩷 I created my first salon in the 90s (what a time!) and it has slowly evolved into the Christchurch Nail Studio ‘Polished’. Fashion and art have been fuel for my passion keeping my love of the nail industry alive, as have the people I adorn (and adore).
Competing and judging internationally, meeting industry heroes, educating and mentoring has been the cherry atop of my amazing journey.

🩷 Sarah Elmaz is a Melbourne based nail artist, educator, and content creator with over 20 years of hands on experience in the nail industry, and a global reputation for creating some of the cutest and most captivating nail art in the game.

🩷 Since 2013, Sarah has pioneered her own unique style of character based nail design, inspiring a new wave of artists with her charming, highly detailed creations. Her work has graced the covers of leading nail magazines, appeared in international editorials, and is instantly recognised online for its playful, feminine charm. She's especially known for her signature line work, nostalgic Disney inspired pieces, and an original, ever evolving aesthetic that has earned her a worldwide community of nail lovers and hundreds of thousands of followers across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

🩷 Sarah is a fully certified Certificate IV Nail Technology trainer. Over the past 12 years, she has trained hundreds if not thousands of students and is a seasoned educator passionate about mentoring and elevating the nail industry. She has taught advanced masterclasses around the world in Belgium, Spain, the UK, Canada, New Zealand, and throughout Australia.

🩷 A few career highlights? A global product collaboration with renowned Korean nail brand GellyFit, who released the Get Buffed gel polish line curated by Sarah and sold worldwide. She also placed in the top 3 of Nails Magazine's prestigious Next Top Nail Artist competition, travelling to Chicago for the finale.

🩷 Sarah is not only widely respected for her artistic innovation, but also for her immense knowledge of the nail industry and sharp insight into what's current, what's next, and what truly works in the salon. Whether she's filming a viral reel, creating wearable art, or shaping the next generation of nail techs, one thing's for sure. There's no one doing it quite like her.

🎃 Here are the details and rules (full details on the 2nd pic).

🎃 Halloween theme on 5 tips, 50mm max length of each tip.

🎃 Tips to be placed on a plain coloured background board, no names, logos or brand names are to be visible.

🎃 All nail art must be hand painted.

🎃 Flat Embellishments to be no more than 15% of the entire design - embellishments include glitter, foils, flakes etc
* NO 3D work *

🎃 There is 2 categories Novice & Open with prizes for 1st place & runner ups. Certificates will be emailed to the winners.

🎃 You may enter up to 2 times. Entries are FREE!

🎃 If you aren't a member of our Nail Central Facebook group please email proof of your qualifications or training details to [email protected]

🎃 Your entry is to be posted to me with a self addressed return postage bag, message me for my address.
Your entry will be forwarded to the judges for judging.
