We took our time finding an LED Face Mask for you to use at home. Theyāre a confusing thing right? All of the colours and bells and whistles - which are important and which arenāt?
We chose the Luyors Face, Chest and Neck LED Mask because:
- it hits all of the right markers with its specs - the fluresence and number of LED lights are where you want them to be for efficacy.
- it has four wavelengths of light (red, blue, near infra-red, and yellow), each hitting a different depth of skin and promoting a different result, with a total of six modes. Need a collagen plumping hit plus something to target acne (teen or peri-menopausal hormones)? Itās got you.
- it has three intensities so you can start low and slow and build up over time.
- this is the first at home LED Mask weāve seen with LED lights targeting the upper lip area.
- a mask for the face plus a neck and chest piece for around the price that some brands charge for just the face mask. Less in a lot of cases.
- the neck and chest piece can be used on your hands and arms. Neglected the sunscreen on your drivers arm? This will help.
The most important thing when using LED Light is to be consistent. 10 minutes on clean skin three times per week. You'll rack up results after 6-8 weeks.
How many times has a friend or beauty consultant said "You should try this, I love this product", without asking you anything about your skin, your lifestyle, or your comfort level with colour.
We're not here to show you the products we love wearing.
We're here to find you YOUR favourites.
Sorry, not sorry to the customer who recently asked if one of our products was "low-tox". While I genuinely welcome all chat in store, questions like this do make me want to set the record straight - they're the direct result of fear-based marketing that itās well and truly time the beauty industry stopped feeding you.
Every cosmetic product sold in New Zealand (and Australia, and the EU, and the USAā¦) is governed by regulations with one overarching requirement: it must not cause harm*. Full stop. The end.
No cosmetic brand, whether marketed as "clean," "natural," or otherwise, can legally sell you something "toxic". The regulations don't allow it.
What you've been sold with the idea of "low-tox" beauty is fear. Fear that the other products on the shelf are somehow dangerous. They're not.
Twenty+ years in this industry, and misinformation is my biggest pet peeve.
Highly recommend following the science communicators working their butts off to counter all the beauty marketing bull weāre subjected to. A great start is who has a fantastic podcast where she talks with experts in fields like microplastics, talc, animal testing, sunscreen and more.
