Monday madness story time!!

🐐 Chronicles of... The Barnyard Bella's

Episode (no one knows) - The Great Winter Protest. ❄️

It was another freezing morning on the farm. The kind where the grass crunches under your boots (hooves), your coffee goes cold in record time... and apparently the goats collectively decide they've had enough.

At approximately 7:02am, the committee assembled.
Chairgoat Doris called an emergency meeting.
Agenda:

❄️ It's too cold.
🌧️ The paddock is too wet.
🥶 The water bucket is offensive.
🌾 Breakfast took approximately 14 seconds longer than expected.(MY BAD!🤷🏻‍♀️)

After a lengthy discussion (mostly yelling at me), the motion was passed unanimously...

"We shall not leave the shed."

Despite the fact that breakfast was, inconveniently, outside the shed.
Several brave souls ventured three steps into the cold before dramatically turning around as though I had personally betrayed them.

One stood with a single hoof outside, contemplating life.
Another screamed because someone else got the better hay.
The other Bella's showing how unimpressed they were by ignoring me completely.

But...
By lunchtime they'd forgotten they were protesting, sprinted around the paddock like caffeinated toddlers, head-butted each other for sport, and somehow convinced themselves I was starving them—even though they'd eaten enough hay to feed a small village. Way to these ladies hearts eh!

Small Farm life, honestly.
You can buy them the nicest shelter, freshest hay, water on tap, endless treats... but the moment there's a bit of frost, they look at you like you've personally arranged the weather.🙄

The chaos!!...but I'd still choose these ridiculous little weirdos every single time. 🤍🐐 Despite the freezing cold mornings and stink attitude ...

A couple of weeks ago we packed up for a roadie, and delivered the kids to Nana's farm for a proper dose of big farm life. 🚜🌿 They're living their best lives while Nana gets all the cuddles (and probably all the chaos too 😅).

Naturally... we couldn't drive past Taupō without making a little pit stop. You know, purely for research purposes... and maybe coffee. 😉☕

Safe to say, a few more memories were made along the way. 💛✨

Life has been life-ing proper hence the quiet time off the socials🙆🏼‍♀️😃
