After 2 years of study at te Wananga, and now acting as pou on a local rongoa course, I finally got my A into G and started back into creating again. I decided to participate in a local art exhibition here, in Lower Hutt, alongside my fellow artists of The Fish Bowl Artist Collective
I spent two solid weeks working on most of these pieces and it feels so good to finally see them on display.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's opening night at Hutt Art Centre at 6pm - maybe I'll see you there ❤️

kia ora e te whānau - this is a PSA to let you all know that I have finished 2 years of studying rongoā Māori with te wananga. Yay!
I'm going to give myself a break and get ready for our annual Xmas/NY camp, then next year it will be all on!
So, in the new year you can expect to see more posts of my creations and experiences, as I dive back into my artwork and herbal products.
Whoop, whoop - bring on Xmas lol 🎅🎅🎅

The results of the first soap making workshop I ran from my new studio. Tallow and castor oil with lavender and white sage fragrance.
Watch this space peeps! Once everything is moved in I'll start flooding the page with soaps, rongoa and art 😍😍😍
gosh, it's been a while since I updated my page.
Most of that time has been spent studying rongoa Maori at Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
Our rongoa symposium at Turangawaewae Marae in Ngaurawahia this weekend, was just awesome - and it was a privilege to stay there and have the opportunity to do presentations and showcase some of our rongoa - as well as meeting other tauira from around the country.
Now that my study is almost over for the year, I'm looking forward to getting back into making - with so much more knowledge around tikanga and kawa.
In the famous words of Buzz Lightyear - ONWARDS AND UPWARDS ❤️

just a wee update, whanau
I've been so busy this year with wananga, that I haven't had time to post for ages. I've been furiously making - and running a soap making workshop this coming weekend for my wananga whanau. There are also a couple of exciting events coming up for me, so watch out for lots of photos in the next few weeks x
The design process for new labels is complete and I'm just waiting for them to arrive. Here's a sneak peek at one of the soap labels.
