One year on post op

Wow it's been a whole year since my ACL & meniscus repair.
I'd like to say it's gone fast but it's been really full on with my rehabilitation.

While technically I'm at the end of my rehab, I'm still got my own goals that I've been working on like sitting bottom to heels ( only within the last two weeks have I felt moderately comfortable doing this , but I still need support of a block and i cant stay too long)
I can now do childs pose and pigeon pose but again not too long without having to modify it with props.
Running is still challenging as I'm still quite weak in my muscle strength. Some days it takes all my concentration to lift the foot / knee / hip high enough for proper technique and when I get tired I know I'm swinging my leg out to the side too much.

But if there is one thing I can take away from this experience it's to focus on the small wins and my own goals/ achievements.

I'm looking forward to doing more exciting things with my time like getting back into bush walks / tramping and eventually into lower impact sports.

Sincerely
Claire

Have you wanted to get back into yoga or exercise in general ?
Is your mobility not what it used to be or are you currently recovering from injury?

Have a go at a mixed chair & mat class.

I have been branching out into full chair classes and / or mixed chair and mat classes to assist people as their bodies change.

So if it's been a while since i've seen you, please come by and or let me know if you would like to start up again.

P.S
There will be a new daytime class being added in a few weeks.
