The metaverse has emerged as a $13T tech inflection point that allows us to interact in a digital life while living in our physical one. This is enabled by Web3 applications and platforms that are built on chain, are decentralized, and support a growing flow of exciting new experiences and commercial models.

The question for brands and retailers is not whether to engage in the metaverse, but rather when and how. We already know it cannot be just a matter of replicating 2D into 3D. Events like The Metaverse Fashion Week and Miami Fashion Week in Decentraland represent brilliant experiments for businesses across categories, but they also raised many questions about that first step. In particular:
How do brands present themselves authentically in the metaverse and preserve their DNA? What kinds of products and experiences should they be thinking about?
How do they talk to customers across virtual and physical worlds, and how do consumers interact with each other?
The panelists will offer insights and advice on these questions for brands and retailers of all sizes.
