As much as I wanted to love this one… my skin said otherwise. 🥲
I finally tried the Japanese viral ✨Suppin UV Pact Shield SPF50+ PA++++✨ and honestly, I understand why so many people rave about it online.
First impressions?
✔️ Lightweight on the skin
✔️ Blurs and softens the complexion beautifully
✔️ Doesn’t look cakey
✔️ Great for quick SPF touch-ups over makeup
✔️ Gives that soft, natural “bare skin but prettier” finish Japanese products are known for
And can we talk about the packaging? The little silicone heart puff is ADORABLE. 💗 It’s soft, hygienic, easy to clean, and honestly one of the cutest applicators I’ve seen in a while.
I also appreciate that it’s marketed for sensitive skin and designed to be convenient for reapplication throughout the day — especially in our hot, humid weather here in the Philippines.
BUT… after giving it a fair shot and testing it properly, I started breaking out. 😭 I noticed small bumps and congestion appearing after continuous use, especially in areas where I’m usually more reactive.
As a makeup artist and skincare-conscious girlie, I always remind people:
✨ Just because a product is viral or works for many doesn’t automatically mean it will work for your skin too.
Do I think it’s a bad product? No.
I actually think a lot of people — especially those with less acne-prone or less reactive skin — may genuinely enjoy this. The finish is beautiful and the concept is so good.
Unfortunately for me, my skin simply didn’t agree with one or more ingredients in the formula.
Rating for performance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rating for compatibility with MY skin: ⭐️⭐️
Cute? Yes.
Practical? Yes.
Will I continue using it? Sadly, no. 🥹
