My first-ever editorial feature was for my best friend, Rohama. Looking back, ang meaningful pala that I began with someone I already saw with so much love.
I was learning how to turn what I saw and felt into photographs and words. Finding my eye, finding my voice—and slowly understanding what I wanted my work to hold.
This debut helped shape my taste: the expressions I notice, the details I keep, the stories I feel are worth telling. Even then, I was drawn to beauty that lets you feel the person.
Ang dami nang nagbago sa paningin ko since this. I’ve learned to edit more carefully, trust simplicity, and understand why something moves me. And I’m happy I get to look back at where those instincts began.
Reposting this with affection for the creative I was becoming—and for my best friend, who gave me someone meaningful to begin with.
