Ninoy was a senator, governor, and one of the fiercest critics of Martial Law under Ferdinand Marcos. In 1972, he was arrested and imprisoned for 7 years. Despite being offered freedom in exile in the US, he chose to return to the Philippines on August 21, 1983 — knowing it could cost him his life.

At Manila International Airport, now named *NAIA* in his honor, he was assassinated. His death became the turning point in Philippine history.

Ninoy’s sacrifice woke up millions of Filipinos. 3 years later, it led to the *1986 People Power Revolution* that restored democracy.
His famous words: _"The Filipino is worth dying for."_ and _"In the final analysis, a democracy will survive only if the people are willing to fight for it."_

Ninoy Aquino Day is a regular holiday not just to mourn, but to remember:
That freedom requires courage.
That democracy requires participation.
That one person’s bravery can change a nation.

Let us honor his legacy by being vigilant, informed, and loving our country not just in words, but in action.
*"Sa ikauunlad ng bayan, disiplina ang kailangan."*

Ma’am/Sir, naka-ready na po ang uniform… pero mukhang mas ready ang ulan. 😭🌧️

To a fellow SPJ, Happy Birthday.

Today is more than just a celebration of the day you were born. It is a recognition of the person you have become — a student, a journalist, and a leader in our program.

Being part of SPJ is not easy. It demands discipline, integrity, and commitment. And you have shown all of that.
Through every article you wrote, every photo you took, every training and competition you joined, you carried the values of journalism: truth, accuracy, and responsibility.

Thank you for the dedication you give to our program.
Thank you for taking your craft seriously, for respecting deadlines, and for pushing yourself to improve with every critique and revision.
Because of people like you, SPJ continues to uphold its standard of excellence.

As you enter another year, I hope you continue to grow — not only in skill, but in character.
May you use your voice to tell stories that matter. May you use your pen to uphold truth. May you continue to inspire the younger batch to take SPJ seriously and with pride.

You have a bright future ahead of you. The field of journalism needs people who are serious, hardworking, and principled. And that is exactly who you are.

Happy Birthday. May this year bring you more learning, more achievements, and more opportunities to make a difference.
We are proud to have you in SPJ.

FROM SPJ FAMILY🎊

‼️‼️‼️‼️

Okay na. I-off mo na ang alarm. 😌⏰
Pero huwag i-off ang pagiging alerto. 🌧️

Today is all about YOU — the person who lights up every room just by being in it. Thank you for being my muse in every sense of the word. You inspire me to laugh harder, dream bigger, and love deeper.

I pray that this new age brings you more reasons to smile, more blessings than you can count, more peace in your heart, and more memories that will make you say "best year ever."

You deserve all the love, cake, gifts, and good vibes today and every day. No matter what happens, remember I’m always here cheering you on from the front row.

Thank you for existing. The world is brighter, kinder, and funnier because of you.
I’m so lucky to have you in my life.
Enjoy your day, birthday girl/boy! I love you so much!
Cheers to more birthdays, more adventures, and more "us" moments.💕
