Basic Barber Shop

Basic Barber Shop was a sole proprietorship business established on September 8, 2006 and was known as ATG Barbershop for 9 years. Surrounded with malls, offices, and schools, and was one of the few barber shops in Bajada during the early 2000s. It is owned by one of the oldest renters of Gahol Bldg. (Bajada), which spanned for 26 years for his electrical shop business and was succeeded by his daughter for another 9 years. By 2015, the business was registered as Basic Barber Shop under the proprietress. Haircut services cost for as low as 25 pesos when ATG started its business. Gradually, the pricing changed over the years to cope up with rent and other expenses. By the end of its term, the haircut cost was already 120 pesos. A reflection of the changes in the cost of living through the years. A variety of clients patronized the business for many years. From government officials to blue collar workers. Basic Barber Shop takes pride of their barbers who are well-experienced in their craft. They are already armed with skills way before they joined the business. Applicants only get to work in ATG/Basic if they are refered by their own barbers. And because local barbers used to have a small community, it was easy to pick people who are trustworthy, hard working, and loyal. After 17 years in the hair services industry, Basic Barber Shop closed its doors by April 24, 2023. The rental contract was no longer served as the space is prepared for a different business. With the effects of the pandemic, new and many established barber shops, with no capital on hand, it was decided by the owner to retire the business permanently.
