Aqua Theo Water Purifier

We thought our first customers would be the people we already knew. We were wrong.

When we first started, we messaged almost everyone we knew about our product.

Friends. Relatives. Neighbors and facebook contact.

We explained what the product was, why we believed in it, and why we thought they might need it.

But most of the time?

SEEN. NO REPLY.

And honestly, it hurt.

But those unanswered messages ended up teaching us one of the biggest lessons we’ve learned in business:

People don’t want to be sold to. They want to be understood.

We realized that our job wasn’t simply to tell people how good our product was.

We needed to understand their problems first.

So we changed the way we communicated.

Instead of immediately selling the product, we started asking questions, listening to what customers actually needed, explaining the problem, and helping them understand whether our solution was truly right for them.

Those “SEEN” messages didn’t stop us.

They taught us how to communicate better.

And sometimes, rejection isn’t the end of the conversation.

Sometimes, it’s the lesson that teaches you how to have a better one.

That’s one of the lessons we’ll always carry with us as founders. 💧

“Akala ko mahal ang product na ’to… hanggang sa nakita ko ang tunay na value nito.”

Noong una, iyon talaga ang naging reaction ko.
“Mahal.”

But as we continued using it in our own home, I began to look at it differently.

I realized that when we decide whether something is worth the investment, the price shouldn’t be the only thing we consider. We also have to look at the value it brings into our everyday lives.

Water is something we consume every single day. And with that comes the recurring cost, the effort of carrying heavy gallons, waiting for deliveries, storing extra water, and adjusting whenever we run out.

Over time, I started to realize that these things have a cost too—not just financially, but in time, effort, and convenience.

And that changed the way I saw the product.

What initially felt expensive became an investment in something that makes our daily routine easier.

Less waiting. Less lifting. Less hassle. More convenience and peace of mind.

As a founder, this is why I believe in experiencing the product ourselves before recommending it to others. Because for us, it’s not simply about selling a water system.

It’s about offering something that we genuinely believe can make everyday life simpler, more convenient, and more practical for families.

Because sometimes, the true value of a product isn’t measured by its price tag, but by the everyday benefits it gives back to you. 🤍
