Laarni "Lani" Cayetano is a Filipina politician serving as the Mayor of Taguig City.

Her public service achievements include breaking several political barriers, spearheading social welfare and educational programs, and successfully guiding Taguig through its territorial dispute with Makati.

Key Accomplishments and Political MilestonesRecord-Breaking Leadership: She made history in 2007 as the youngest and first female representative of the newly formed 1st district of Taguig-Pateros. In 2010, she was elected as Taguig’s youngest and first female mayor.

EMBO Barangays Dispute: She successfully led Taguig through its long-standing territorial dispute with Makati City, securing jurisdiction over ten Enlisted Men's Barrio (EMBO) barangays.

Business and Administrative Reforms: Under her leadership, Taguig was transformed into a highly urbanized and business-friendly city by campaigning against red tape and streamlining business registration processes.

Social and Community ProgramsEducational Grants: She launched the Lifeline Assistance for Neighbors In-Need (L.A.N.I.) Scholarship Program, providing grants ranging from PHP 15,000 to PHP 110,000 per year to support students from preschool through graduate school.

Healthcare & Vulnerable Sectors: She expanded healthcare access by establishing 24/7 Super Health Centers, the house-to-house distribution of free maintenance medicines, and the creation of modern centers for the elderly.
