Born: 1 January 1970-Nawan Killi, Swabi.
Martyrdom: 5 July 1999-Gultari, Kargil-17000 feet long.
Full Story:-
His grandfather participated in 1948 Kashmir Jihad and named him "Karnal" meaning Colonel, wishing someone from family joins Army. He fulfilled that dream. Commissioned in 27 Sindh Regiment on 14 Oct 1994 (90th PMA Long Course) later attached to 12 NLI.
During Kargil War 1999, he established 5 strategic posts at Gultari with his jawans and repulsed 8 major Indian attacks. On 5th July 1999, two battalions of enemy surrounded his post with heavy mortar fire and captured part of it.
He led a fearless counter-attack, recaptured the lost part, and embraced Shahadat by machine gun fire while fighting in close combat.
His bravery was so great that Indian Brigadier M.P.S. Bajwa wrote a citation praising him and placed it in his pocket while returning his body, requesting Pakistan to give him the highest award.
Pakistan awarded him the highest gallantry award (Nishan-e-Haider). 27 Sindh was renamed as (27 Sindh Sher Haidri) in his honor.

In the loving memories of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf Shaheed-The Pride of Pakistan Air Force.
On the night of 9-10 May 2025, during Marka-e-Haq / Operation Bunyan-um-Marsous, PAF Base Bholari in Sindh came under a deadly enemy strike.
A missile hit the hangar where a Saab 2000 Erieye AWACS was parked for maintenance. Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf, a senior officer of the AWACS unit, embraced Shahadat in the line of duty while defending the aerial frontiers of Pakistan, along with his 4 brave airmen:
- Chief Technician Muhammad Aurangzeb Shaheed
- Senior Technician Najeeb Sultan Shaheed
- Senior Technician Muhammad Ayaz Shaheed
His Shahadat was a symbol of courage, duty and ultimate sacrifice. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, visited his home in Rawalpindi and said "The services and sacrifices of our martyrs will forever be etched in the nation's memory."
He gave his today for our tomorrow.
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ
And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision. (3:169)

13 Oct, Today is 21 Shahadat Anniversary of Maj Zeeyyad Salim Awal Shaheed Father Brig Muhammad Salim Shaheed

On 13 Oct 2005, Maj Zeeyyad father Brig M.Salim embraced Shahadat during Road accident, while he was serving as Station Comd Peshawar.

Brig Salim took part in Major Operations of his time including 1980s Iraq-Iran War and complicated life Challenging Liyari Decoit Operations.

He was blessed by Allah with a chance to be 'Khudam ul Hajj' 'الحجاج خدام' in Makkah in 2000 to look after operations & pilgrims during Hajj' Season.

Brig Salim was a Great Personality of his Time, that will never come in years to Come. He was known for his Courageous, Decision making, Brave, Caring, kind hearted, Selfless, honesty, Loyality and Always helping Nature for Every one.

There were many times when he himself had no money in his pocket but he helped his loved onces and needy by any way possible.

Same was the quality inherited by Maj Zeeyyad Salim Shaheed.

Maj Zeeyyad always used to Say: 'Even If I spend my Whole Life, I can never Earn the Respect and Honour Equal to my Papa'.

Who knew that one day his Father will be reknown and honoured much more by his Name, his precious sacrifice, his Courage and Honour.♥️

Maj Zeeyyad inherited all his father's noble qualities. Both were like a single pious Soul in two bodies.

One of the common and best qualities in both Brig Salim and Maj Zeeyyad was Humanity & Kindness to the extreme level.

Following his father footsteps, After 20 years Maj Zeeyyad Salim Awal Shaheed also embraced shahadat during leading highly sensitive 'Operation Kabo' against Fitna al Hindustan (FaH) in Mach Balochistan.

In the loving memories of Major Tayyab Rahat Shaheed (130 PMA Long Course) was an exceptionally brave Pakistan Army officer who embraced martyrdom on the night of October 7–8, 2025. He laid down his life while serving as the second-in-command during a high-stakes intelligence-based operation (IBO) against the banned militant outfit Fitna al-Khwarij in the Orakzai District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Ultimate Sacrifice :-
During the intense operation, Major Tayyab Rahat, alongside his commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq (39), led his troops directly from the front lines. Their tactical coordination successfully neutralized 19 terrorists. However, during the heavy exchange of gunfire, both officers and nine of their valiant soldiers paid the ultimate price for the defense of the motherland.
Honors and Legacy :-
Military Roots: He belonged to the 42 Field Artillery Regiment and was deployed with the Frontier Corps (FC) at the time of the engagement.
State Tributes:- His funeral prayers at the Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi were attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Anniversary Remembrance:- On October 8 2026, the entire nation and the Pakistan Armed Forces officially observed his first martyrdom anniversary, paying rich tributes to his eternal legacy of valor.

In the loving memories of Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir Shaheed (age 31) was a courageous Pakistan Army officer who embraced martyrdom on the night of August 5–6, 2025, during a counter-terrorism operation in the Mastung District of Balochistan. He was known for his exceptional valor and had actively led numerous intelligence-based missions alongside Special Services Group (SSG) commandos.

• Rank & Age: Major, 31 years old
• Hometown: Narowal District, Punjab, Pakistan
• Family Background: He was the son of retired Army officer Colonel Muhammad Tahir. His family resides in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
• Date of Martyrdom: August 5–6, 2025
• Location & Incident: His military vehicle was targeted by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by militants in Balochistan's Mastung District.
• Casualties & Aftermath: The blast also claimed the lives of two other soldiers: Naik Ibni Amin (37) and Lance Naik Muhammad Younas (33). In an immediate follow-up sanitization operation, security forces successfully neutralized four of the terrorists responsible for the ambush.
• State Tributes: High-profile state officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, visited his family residence to offer condolences, pay solemn tribute to his supreme sacrifice, and honour his legacy as a hero of the nation.

A soldier is ALWAYS a soldier. On March 31, 2024, Major Muhammad Saad Sheikh (132 Long Course) was off-duty when armed street criminals targeted him in Karachi. Even when outnumbered and hit by 4 bullets, he chose to fight back like a true Pakistan Army officer rather than bow down to cowards.
He fought for his life in the hospital and embraced Shahadat. He left behind a grieving widow, a beautiful daughter, and a young son leaving a debt on this entire nation. 😭🕊️
