Forty days without you, Abu. 🤍

And yet, somehow, you are still everywhere — in the words you left with us, in the lessons you taught without ever teaching, in the quiet moments when your presence feels closer than ever.

You were a soul who understood that this world was only a passing journey, and perhaps that is why you carried so much peace within you. You taught us, in your own Sufi way, that love does not end with absence, and that the ones who leave this world are not truly gone when their light continues to live in the hearts they touched.
Perhaps this is what it means when the Sufis speak of love beyond form: the body leaves, but the rooh remains woven into the lives it touched.

Forty days have passed, Abu.
But your presence has not.

May Allah envelop your rooh in His infinite mercy, grant you eternal sukoon, and reunite us with you where there is no more separation.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. 🤍

جن کے سائے میں زندگی آسان لگتی تھی،

اُن کے بغیر ہر راستہ اجنبی سا لگتا ہے

17th July… the day my world changed forever.

I still find myself reaching for the phone to call you, wanting to share my day, ask for your advice, or simply hear your voice.
I wish I could hug you one more time. Just one more embrace. One more conversation. One more chance to say how much I love you and how grateful I am for everything you taught me.

I didn’t just lose my father-in-law; I lost my mentor, my guide, my colleague, my best friend, and the person who believed in me when I doubted myself. Every achievement of mine carries a lesson you taught me, and every step forward reminds me of the footsteps I used to follow.
Life feels incomplete now. The silence you left behind is louder than any words, and no amount of time can fill the space you occupied in my heart.

May Allah grant you the highest place in Jannah and keep your grave filled with light. Until we meet again, you will forever remain in my prayers, my memories, and in every success I achieve.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Don’t announce every move. Not everyone in your circle is rooting for you. Stay silent, stay focused, and let your success make the noise.

Every time someone finds out I’m a doctor, I already know what’s coming next. The conversation hasn’t even settled, and I can feel it shifting toward “Oh, since you’re here… can I ask you something?” 😭 It doesn’t matter where I am—dinner, a wedding, or just trying to relax—suddenly it turns into a mini consultation I didn’t sign up for. 😂

We’re so busy chasing what’s next that we forget to enjoy what’s already here. Some of life’s greatest gifts aren’t found on a screen or in a destination, they’re found in the small moments, the fresh air, the silence, and the beauty of God’s creation all around us.
