Time flies.

In the blink of an eye, a decade has passed.

Looking back, Share A Cut started with a simple encounter that changed the way we saw things.

In 2016, we met an elderly lady in a wheelchair.

Something as simple as getting a haircut had become a challenge.

Transport had to be arranged.

Family members had to take leave from work.

The salon was not wheelchair-friendly.

For many people, a haircut is routine.

For her, it had become an obstacle.

That was when we asked ourselves:

“Why can’t the haircut go to her instead?”

That simple question became Share A Cut.

Over the past 10 years, there have been countless hours on the road, long days, late nights, hard work, sweat, and challenges that many people never see.

We’ve travelled across Singapore, climbed countless flights of stairs, visited homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and care facilities.

We’ve met people from all walks of life.

And if you ask me what the biggest achievement of Share A Cut has been, it isn’t the number of haircuts we’ve done.

It isn’t the kilometres we’ve travelled.

It isn’t how much we’ve grown.

It’s the smiles.

The smile of an elderly person who feels fresh and confident again.

The smile of a family member who no longer has to worry about arranging transport.

The smile of someone who simply feels seen, cared for, and remembered.

Those moments remind us why we started.

Ten years later, our mission remains the same:

To bring dignity, care, and human connection—one haircut at a time.
