🎓✨ From aspiration to achievement - Congratulations to our 2026 MOE-SgIS awardees!

We are proud to welcome another group of outstanding young talents through the MOE Singapore-Industry Scholarship (MOE-SgIS). Since joining the programme in 2023, Woh Hup has proudly awarded 11 scholars, reflecting our commitment to nurturing the next generation of Built Environment professionals.

Behind every scholarship award is a journey of growth, self-discovery and ambition. Over the past few months, aspiring scholars shared their personal stories, inspirations and aspirations through self-reflection submissions, before progressing through case studies, panel interviews and discussions with a panel of professionals across multiple disciplines.

Throughout this journey, our core purpose of Do Well Do Good remained at the heart of what we do, as we invest in and support aspiring Built Environment professionals who have demonstrated excellence in their academic pursuits, helping to develop the next generation of talent for Singapore's Built Environment sector.

To our newest scholars, congratulations on this milestone. We look forward to supporting your growth, celebrating your achievements, and being part of your journey in the years ahead!

Our C9177 project team went to Universal Studios Singapore for some thrills and excitement in two groups on two days! Both groups ended their days with buffet dinners over shared memories of conquering the rides together 🎢

The courage to speak up, in the form of a card.

Safety is everyone's responsibility, and our STOP Card was created to underline that notion. With it, everyone can confidently advocate safe practices in the workplace and Work Safe, Home Safe! 👷

Just last month, we've embarked on a new sustained volunteering partnership with the RDA Singapore Official.

They offer horse-riding therapy sessions for persons with disability, where our volunteers provide physical support, encouragement, and companionship as side-walkers to help ensure a safe and positive riding experience! 🐴

Did you know? You can walk continuously for almost an hour in Singapore completely sheltered!

One urban feature that makes Singapore such a walkable city is her extensive network of covered walkways. Three different routes, two in the CBD and one in Jurong, have gone viral in recent years for allowing pedestrians to escape the harsh sun or heavy showers while clocking over 5,000 steps weaving through malls and train stations.

Along Enggor Street, you'll find two of our projects among the tallest residential buildings in Singapore, Skysuites @ Anson and Altez. Completed in 2014, the neighbouring skyscrapers offer panoramic views of the city, overlooking Marina Bay and the southern waterfront.

For Sharina, volunteering is about making a tangible difference in someone's life. Seeing the impact of her efforts on the community and individuals is fulfilling for her, and she finds it pretty awesome that she gets to contribute to something bigger than oneself.

Working with seniors hits closest to home for she has a soft spot for them having grown up with her grandparents. Despite the language barrier, seeing them smile and acknowledge the joy she brings them is special to her.

Not only is volunteering a great way to give back to the community and make a positive impact, it is also a nice break from work stress that helps to recharge and refocus.

Darryl’s favourite quote to all workers and staff is “No works is more important than your own safety. Money can buy a lot of things, but it can’t buy you back your health and body parts.” He makes it a point to recognise and reward workers who do the right thing, believing that building a strong safety culture isn’t just about rules, it’s also about encouragement.

As a Senior WSHE Officer, his routine involves conducting safety trainings to educate workers, conducting regular site inspections to spot potential hazards and fix issues before they become problems, and working closely with the project team to maximise efficiency while maintaining practicality with the right safety measures in place. Reviewing safety procedures, conducting audits, and mentoring his team are also part of his day.
