As the Chinese saying goes: 台上三分钟，台下十年功 which directly translates to: 3 minutes on stage takes 10 years of effort behind the scenes.

When she was being interviewed on stage, she said she was somewhat ”forced“ into daily practice 😂😂 and even said it was her mother’s yapping that got her this far!

I won‘t deny the hard work behind the scenes, nor the many tantrums I had to deal with. She’s just a kid, so naturally she questioned the daily practice routine.

But I am instilling consistency and a routine that helps my daughter thrive. I practice this as an adult, I put 1000% into my work and my daily routine. When things get hard and even showing up becomes tough, we keep going.

Shine bright, my child! So thankful for all the opportunities coming our way and to Music. For Life - Singapore for organizing this yearly recital!

P.S. I’m also teaching her to speak up and building her self-confidence, helping her realize that she is good enough in so many ways.

And to be honest, Music. For Life - Singapore has done such a great job grooming her, and with Teacher Niko’s care, she has become very good at asking questions and bargaining. 🤣

Daddy travels every other week. When he’s away, we’re happy just the way we are, spending quality time together.

Sometimes I’ll remember a particular moment and go back to the CCTV footage just to reminisce.

She used to be so shy and hated it whenever I asked if she wanted to play the piano in front of others or in public.

Now? She actually enjoys playing her pieces at school! 😂

I’ve always believed that everyone has their own timeline. Seeing Isabelle reach a stage where she really enjoys her time at the piano makes my heart so full as a mother. 🥰

Every single school pickup, I get the exact same question. 😂 I’m always so tickled by their reaction because they genuinely enjoy food and a huge variety too. Mummies, try observing and
take note of their first few questions after school!

They say that happy kids don‘t have much stress, they just think about food and they sing. That is definitely my kids. 💖 Even our helper sings so loudly at home, hahhahaha.

I guess this is what a happy home looks like. 🥰

Throwback to some well-deserved ‘me time’ flying to NZ for work. I miss being pampered by the cabin crew!

Let’s be honest: nothing is fair in this world. Some people are born with a silver spoon, while others hustle just to survive. There is no end to comparison.

I work hard so I can have choices in life. Money is important, yes, for basic survival needs, and of course, because having the means to make choices is my goal.

My definition of freedom is having choices without being constrained by financial anxiety. Ultimately, with or without a silver spoon, integrity and character are what define us.

I need to rethink why they think I am rich. 😂😂😂 I think being generous and living a life with choices is what makes them think I’m “rich”.

Sometimes kind to them! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hahaha, gosh.

I am successful because of them, yes, and they give me a huge push to want to be better every single day.
