We offer cosmetic removal of suitable benign-appearing skin growths, including:

• Skin Tags (Acrochordons)

• Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)

• Small benign surface growths such as selected seborrhoeic keratoses

Treatment involve electrodesiccation / electrocautery, using a fine precision probe to gently dehydrate the targeted tissue, which then dries and forms a tiny protective crust.

AFTER TREATMENT

The treated area may appear darker, dry or slightly crusted. The dried tissue will generally fall away naturally within approximately 5–14 days.

Aftercare:

✔ Keep the area clean and dry as instructed

✔ Do not pick, scratch or peel the dried crust

✔ Avoid scrubs, acids, retinoids and other strong active products until healed

✔ Allow the skin to heal naturally

For darker skin tones, temporary post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation can occur if post-care instructions are not followed.

Heat and the fact that we reside in a hot climate is another trigger for melasma. These factors are all used to help identify the best approach in helping the clients.
Melasma is a condition which can disappear entirely after menopause for some women whereas for many others it remains a skin condition which must be treated with the intention of controlling the symptoms.
