đŁď¸ Real Talk from the Treatment Room â What She Said Before She Left
Sometimes, the most touching part of a treatment happens after it ends. Itâs in the words a client leaves behindâwords that linger with me long after sheâs gone.
One client handed me her payment and whispered: âMay Allah put barakah in this for you, ameen.â The warmth of that blessing spread through me like a light I didnât expect.
Another looked me in the eyes and said: âThank you for not judging me and for making me feel comfortable.â I smiledâbecause thatâs exactly what I hope every woman feels here.
One held my hands and told me: âMay God bless your hands, my body feels so much better.â Iâll admit, it brought tears to my eyes.
Another asked if she could hug me. When she did, she said: âYou have no idea what you did for me todayânot just physically, but mentally. Thank you.â I hugged her back, deeply moved.
Then there was the client who softly said: âThank you for providing me with space to shut everything off. I didnât realize how much I needed it.â All I could say was, âYouâre welcome anytime.â
One even chuckled and said: âI wish every woman could experience how much fun you are!â That made me laugh too.
And then, a client said something that stayed with me deeply: âI appreciate your honesty. You say it plainly, call it like it is, and you donât waste peopleâs time or moneyâthank you.â I told her, âIâm accountable for what I do and say, so I prefer to be honest.â
These words remind me why I do what I do. Beyond the facials, beyond the treatmentsâthis is care, connection, and trust. Every visit is a reminder that when women are given a safe, nurturing space, healing happens on more than just the skin. đ¸

đŁď¸ Real Talk from the Treatment Room â The Secret Behind Every Service
When a client books an appointment with me, the last thing they read is: âMay it be a positive experience.â
Itâs not just a nice phraseâitâs a sincere wish from my heart. I want every woman who walks through my doors to leave feeling lighter, cared for, and renewed. Not just for her, but for me tooâbecause this work isnât just what I do, itâs what I love.
When a treatment ends, my follow-up message is simple but deeply meant:
âThank you for allowing me to care for you today. May the positive effects last long, and may you be protected from the negative ones.â
Hereâs the truth: no amount of training, skill, or the best professional products can guarantee results. What makes the real difference is something greater than me. I believe my hands, my words, and my choices are guided by the Almighty, and thatâs the secret behind my service.
Every client I care for is a trust, and I approach it with that same sincerityâbecause this is more than skincare. Itâs heart care too. đ¸ And my hope is always the same: that each treatment leaves you not only with a glow on your skin, but also with a little more ease in your heart.

That bubbling water you see?
Itâs more than just âsteamâ â itâs one of the quiet heroes in your facial.
Steam warms the skin, softens buildup, opens pathways, and makes everything that follows easier â from cleansing, to exfoliation, to extractions.
But beyond the science, itâs also a moment of pause. A reminder that sometimes the smallest, simplest things (like warm water and time to breathe) create the deepest results.
In skincare and in life, we donât always need the flashy fix â sometimes we just need to let things soften first. â¨

đŹ đŁď¸ Real Talk from the Treatment Room â Not Everything is Meant for DIY
These days, you can buy almost any gadget we use in the spa â cupping machines, dermaplaning blades, high-frequency wands, ultrasonic spatulas.
And I get it. The ads make them sound like a dream: save money, save time, skip the trip to the spa. Iâm all for being resourceful and independent.
But hereâs the thing⌠having the device isnât the same as knowing how â and when â to use it. Even with all the online tutorials in the world, you canât fast-track the years of training, practice, and experience it takes to truly understand skin.
Iâve seen the effects of well-meaning DIY: burns, scarring, inflamed skin. Not because people donât care for themselves â but because they werenât taught the finer details:
đĄ when to use it
đĄ why to use it
đĄ what to look for before, during, and after
đĄ and how to adapt in the moment
In this digital age, itâs easy to forget that the service industry exists for a reason. We arenât just here to âdo the thingâ â weâre here to assess, adjust, and care for you. Weâre trained to notice the subtleties you canât see in the mirror, and to make sure you walk out better, not worse.
Some treatments are safe and easy to do at home. But others? They require a trained hand, a sharp eye, and a heart that knows youâre more than just your skin â youâre a whole person in need of care.
So yes⌠save where you can. DIY the fun, safe stuff. But when it comes to certain treatments, remember: expertise is not a luxury. Itâs protection. And itâs worth it.

⨠EXTRACTIONS: the Love-Hate Relationship
Letâs talk about it: Extractions. The moment in a facial that makes some of you brave⌠and others beg for mercy đ
Some clients come readyâmentally prepared to purge the pores. Others⌠try their best to distract me, hoping Iâll forget that part. News flash: I wonât. (Unless you choose a facial that doesnât include extractionsâyes, I do have those on the menu!)
But hereâs the thing.
I donât like causing pain.
I donât like using tools.
And I definitely donât like seeing scarring from aggressive or careless extractions.
What I do love? Letting the right products do the heavy lifting.
đĄ Enter: Extraction in a Fraction by M.A.D Skincare. Not a paid ad. Not a promo. Just real talk: It works. Exactly like the name says.
This gentle, botanical-based solution softens congestion, loosens debris, and preps the skinâso extractions donât have to be traumaticđą. It cuts down the time, the pressure, the discomfort.
Whether Iâm doing manual extractions, using my hydro wand, or ultrasonic spatula...This liquid makes the whole process smoother and safer.
Clients ask for it by name. I keep it close by. Because in my treatment room, we extract with care.
No drama. No metal digging. Just skin that breathes better when itâs clean.

đŁ The only male client I allow in my spaâŚ
Pedicures are on pause.
The spa is women-only.
But somehow... this one always finds his way in đ
This is my son. Who decidedâwithout shoesâto play football on concrete. Spoiler alert: the concrete won.
And so, in walked my emergency client, plopped himself down like he had an appointment booked, and said, âFix it, please.â
I had to laugh. đ
Because these hands? Theyâve cared for hundreds of women in this spaâŚBut before that, they spent decades caring for two grown bratsâBandaging bruises, healing heartbreaks, and apparently now⌠treating football toe injuries.
This toe needed love.Dry skin removed carefully without disturbing the raw new skin underneath.(That little blood clot? Untouchable.) No scrubbing . Just patience and precision.
đĄ The good news:
He lives. He can play football again.
Bad news?
I didnât get paid. Not even a tip. đ
But truly⌠moments like this remind me of why I miss pedicures. Not just the treatments.
But the stories that come with them. The âlemme explain what happened to my toeâ convos. The laughter. The vulnerability. The care.
This work we do isnât just polish and scrubs.
Itâs care. Real care. Whether itâs in a spa room⌠or in your living roomâŚFor a client, or a barefoot footballer you gave birth to đđ˝ââď¸â˝ď¸
With love,

âEach woman who walks in⌠teaches me something I didnât know I needed.â
This work I doâit isnât just skincare.
Itâs sacred. Itâs an exchange of energy, thoughts and so much more.
Each woman who walks through my spa doors brings more than just her skin, her tension, or her concerns. She brings a story. A softness. A strength. A spark. And when she lies down and trusts me with her careâI donât take that lightly.
đ What many donât see is how much these women give back to me, just by being themselves.
Some come tiredâŚbut speak so gently that I feel peace echoing in the room.
Some are battling heavy thingsâŚbut show up with grace that humbles me.
Some make me laugh until I forget the weight I was carrying that day.
Some say one quiet sentence that stays in my heart long after theyâve gone.
And every single one of themâIs an expert in something. In motherhood. In business. In courage. In rising again.
So today, I just want to say: đŤśđ˝ Iâm honored.
Honored to be the one you trust with your skin. With your body. With your vulnerability.
Honored to create a private, gentle space just for you.
Ranadaâs exists because women like you exist.
And every treatment room session reminds me why Iâm here.
Thank you for showing upâexactly as you are.
Youâre healing, yes. But youâre also teaching.
With deep care,

đ§ âWhy did I break out after my facial?â
Letâs talk about itâbecause it happens.
And it doesnât mean your facial failed. In fact, sometimes it means your skin is finally starting to talk. đŹ
But firstâŚ
One of my favorite moments as an esthetician is when a client messages me the day or two after her facial with a photo of a new bump on her cheek or chin, and says something like âHey⌠this wasnât here before⌠I think someone crashed the party đ
â.
Sheâs not upsetâjust checking in. And I absolutely love that she trusts me enough to reach out, to ask, and to stay curious rather than panicked.
And hereâs what I always say:
Itâs okay. Iâve got you.
Let me explain whatâs happening.
đ§đ˝ââď¸ When we do a deep cleansing facial, especially one with massage, extractions, steam, and active ingredients, weâre not just pampering the skinâweâre waking it up.
đĄ Blood flow increases.
đĄ Lymphatic movement begins.
đĄ Stagnant oil and congestion that was trapped deep inside starts coming to the surface.
That little bump? Thatâs often called purging.
Itâs not a bad reaction. Itâs a release.
Itâs like your skin saying: âThanks for the nudge. I needed to get this out.â
Hereâs the truth:
⨠Breakouts after a facial are usually short-lived.
⨠They show that something is moving.
⨠Theyâre a sign your skin is adjusting and detoxingânot reacting in fear.
Itâs also why skin care canât be a one-time thing. Your skin responds to rhythm. Trust. Time. Just like your emotions, it has layers. And sometimes, it takes a little disruption before it settles into balance.
So if you ever get a visit from an uninvited guest after your facial, donât panic.
đ˛ Just message me like you always doâIâll walk you through whatâs happening and what you can do at home to support your skin while it adjusts.
Youâre not âbreaking out.â
Youâre breaking through.
And your glow? It hasnât gone anywhere.
Itâs just doing the real work beneath the surface.
Trust it.
With realness & care,
Ranada đ¤
