A historic achievement for Trinidad and Tobago! 🇹🇹
NAGICO congratulates the Trinidad and Tobago Chemistry Olympiad Team — Soren Narine, Leon Copilah, Zeeshaan Lall and Reginald Mohammed on their outstanding representation at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad.
Special congratulations to Reginald Mohammed, who made history by securing Trinidad and Tobago’s first-ever medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad, a remarkable milestone in the country’s fourth participation at this prestigious global competition.
We extend our appreciation to their mentors, families, schools and everyone who continues to inspire excellence and innovation in Trinidad and Tobago. We are proud to support the next generation of leaders.
Some people don't actually want their problems solved. They want the attention, validation, or sympathy that comes with having the problem.
For example, they'll complain that they "never go anywhere," but decline every invitation they receive. They're child-free or their children are grown, they have the money, transportation, and freedom to go out. Nothing is actually stopping them.
They don't necessarily want to go out. They want to be asked to go out. They want the validation of knowing that someone thought of them and wanted their company.
The same thing happens in households.
They complain that nobody helps them, but when someone does help, suddenly it's not done correctly. And sometimes, the task is done exactly the way they wanted it done—but because they didn't do it themselves, it is somehow still wrong. 😂
They don't want to do the task, but they don't want anyone else to do it either. They want help, but they also want control. So they complain about having to do everything while simultaneously rejecting the help that would actually relieve them of the responsibility.
At some point, you have to recognize when someone is more attached to the complaint than they are interested in the solution.
Some people see everything through the lens of themselves. Every invitation becomes a measure of how much they're wanted. Every act of help becomes a test of whether someone did it exactly their way. Every situation becomes another opportunity to confirm the story they already have about themselves: Nobody thinks of me. Nobody helps me. I have to do everything.
Not every complaint is a request for a solution. Sometimes it's a request for attention, validation, or reassurance.
And that's okay until you realize the person isn't actually interested in changing the situation. They just want everyone else to keep participating in the same cycle with them.
Celebrating my 14th year on Facebook. Thank you for your continuing support. I could never have made it without you. 🙏🤗🎉
