Tuvalu Department of Waste Management

We are pleased to share the findings from the recent waste survey and litter audit carried out in Funafuti. This important work was made possible through the SWAP2 project and Pacific Ocean Litter Project (POLP), implemented by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP).

The data collected will help strengthen our waste management planning, improve resource recovery, and support practical solutions for our island. With limited land and growing waste challenges, having reliable information is essential for protecting our fenua (land) and moana (ocean).
