Hello lavender lovers,

Today we planted several varieties of Ammi, one of my favorite flowers for the cutting garden. Ammi is known for its delicate, lace-like blooms that dance in the breeze and bring a soft, romantic feel to flower arrangements. It is also a wonderful pollinator plant, attracting bees and beneficial insects to the garden.

There may not be many flowers to see yet, but this is where the beauty begins. Every seed planted today is part of the vision we are creating for the farm, with fields of blooms that will soon be available for our guests to enjoy and for our florists and flower lovers to take home.

Hello lavender lovers,

This morning I took a walk through the greenhouse and wanted to share a little behind the scenes look at what is happening here on the farm.

The greenhouse is full of life right now. The cover is coming off for the season, the shade house is open and ready, and thousands of young plants are growing every day. Tiny seedlings are reaching for the sun, lavender is thriving, and we are preparing for one of our busiest and most exciting times of the year.

Many of the plants you see in this video will soon be finding their new homes. Some are headed to our fields where they will become part of the beautiful landscape our guests enjoy each season. Others will be available for purchase in our shade house so you can take a little piece of the farm home with you.

Every tray, every seedling, and every lavender plant is part of a dream that continues to grow. We are deeply grateful for every guest who visits, follows along, shops with us, and supports this little farm. Without you, there is no us. Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us continue to grow.

Today is a rare day off for me. I am spending it in the hammock beneath one of our beautiful cottonwood trees, listening to the breeze move through the leaves and taking a quiet moment to reflect.

As I rest, I find myself thinking about all that is ahead this week. More lavender to tend, flowers growing in the fields, new plants coming along in the greenhouse, fresh pastries from the tea house, and all the little details that help make the farm what it is.

These quiet moments remind me why we started this journey so many years ago. They give me time to dream about what is coming next and to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us today.

There is something special about watching a new field begin its journey. This week we planted our beautiful Provence culinary lavender, and already the field is settling into its new home beneath the New Mexico sky.

As I walked through the rows today, I caught a glimpse of another favorite. Our English lavender is just beginning to bloom, offering a small preview of the beauty that is on the way.

Every season starts with hope, patience, and a vision of what is to come. Today feels like the beginning of something wonderful.

A lot is happening at the farm, and we thought it would be fun to take you along as it unfolds.

Today we are walking through our new Provence lavender field, one of four new lavender fields being planted this season. Provence lavender is one of our favorite culinary varieties, known for its beautiful fragrance and wonderful flavor in teas, baked goods, and other lavender treats.

If Provence lavender has a place in your garden, you'll be happy to know that we are currently growing a fresh crop in our greenhouse. These beautiful plants are expected to be available beginning the second weekend in June and will be offered for purchase in our Zen Garden Shade House while supplies last.

Right now it may look like a field of possibilities, but soon these rows will be filled with blooming lavender and become part of the experience we share with visitors each summer.

This is just one chapter in the exciting growth taking place at Purple Adobe Lavender Farm. Follow along with us as we share the beauty that is coming to the farm.

I took a walk through one of our gardens today and while most of the flowers are still growing and getting ready for their summer show, the Sweet Williams have decided it is their time to shine.

Their beautiful shades of pink, magenta, red, and white are lighting up the garden right now. Every day brings a little more growth, a few more blooms, and a glimpse of what is to come.

It is one of my favorite times of year. Everything is full of promise, and the gardens are beginning to wake up.

The season is unfolding beautifully, and I cannot wait to share it with you.

Today was a beautiful day on the farm as we spent the day planting dahlias in our flower fields. It is always exciting to imagine what these little plants will become in just a few short weeks.

Dahlias are among the most stunning flowers in the garden, known for their incredible colors, elegant forms, and long blooming season. These new plantings are part of the expanding flower gardens we are creating for you to enjoy this summer.

While the blooms are still to come, the groundwork is being laid now. Every row planted today brings us one step closer to a season filled with color, beauty, and fresh flowers.

We cannot wait to watch these gardens grow and share them with you.
