7 years ago, I moved from Kansas City to Dallas on a hope and a prayer.

Before I ever packed a box, I remember sitting in my closet praying and asking God about moving. I asked Him to make it plain and show me what I was supposed to do.

What I didn’t realize then was that He wasn’t going to give me the entire vision all at once.

Instead, He gave me the courage to take the next step when I didn’t have all the answers.

And with each step, He showed me the next one.

As a single mother, I wanted more. More opportunity. More growth. More for my family. So I took the leap.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve walked through seasons I never could have planned for—personal challenges, financial hardships, a pandemic, and moments where I questioned everything.

But through it all, God ordered my steps.

Looking back, I can see that this journey was never just about building a business. It was about building faith, perseverance, and learning to trust Him more deeply.

One thing about lashing — technique and workflow matter

Working from the back of my hand helps improve my speed, organization, and overall control during application while reducing unnecessary movement throughout the service.

I also personally prefer this method because it minimizes placing products, adhesive, or lash strips directly on the client’s skin/forehead area during application.

Preparing the extension first and isolating immediately before placement also allows me to maintain better visual focus and control near the eye area throughout the service rather than isolating first and then looking away to prepare the extension. Looking away while tweezers are resting near the eyes can create unnecessary risk since pressure placement is harder to fully monitor once your eyes leave the isolation area.
