Ever feel like your body’s one big knot? You’re not alone!
Here’s when your body is screaming for some massage therapy:
👉 Stress has you feeling like a walking tension headache
👉 You can’t remember the last time your shoulders weren’t by your ears
👉 That “minor” back pain has become your most loyal companion
👉 Post-workout soreness has you walking funny for days
👉 Your desk job has your neck and wrists crying out for help
👉 Sleep? What’s that? Your mind won’t shut off at night
Remember: Massage isn’t just a luxury - it’s healthcare!
Regular sessions can improve circulation, reduce anxiety, boost immunity, and help you finally get that good night’s sleep.
Your body does so much for you. Isn’t it time you returned the favor?

Wanna know a secret? There is a nerdy reason I like meeting people somewhere other than my massage table
A body talks differently depending on its position.
Face down in a quiet room, most people go inward and get quiet.
Upright with their hands free, they explain things with their whole arms and I learn a lot more about how they actually move.
I do not start with massage clients until noon, which means my mornings belong to meetings, and I have found my office away from the office if you will
The coffee is insane at Daily Rituals Cafe, and the people who work there are pretty cool too!
If you are in Nob Hill, go see them. Right along Route 66!
Tell me what you’re ordering! ☕
Every option on this list is your nervous system asking for the same thing: a stretch of time when nothing will require a response from you.
Your body cannot downshift while it is still scanning for the next thing that needs you!
That is not a discipline problem. That is just how the system is (wisely) built.
For me, it’s a dance class where the only thing I have to track is where my own feet are going. 👣
Send this to the friend whose “me time” this week has literally just been taking a shower each day. 😜
I love dance, not only because it’s fun, but because it hits all the important ways that protect the body and brain from injury.
It protects the body because of MOVEMENT. It’s a long standing joke in dance communities that it makes zero sense that people will dance for hours but can’t run a mile 😂
Dance protects the brain for numerous reasons:
💃 The social aspect improves our mental health.
💃 The constant introduction of novel movement keeps the part of the brain responsible for learning new things nimble, preventing diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia.
💃 And lastly, it strengthens the mind-body connection.
People often come to me saying that they’re in pain but they can’t exactly explain where they’re experiencing the pain or what the pain actually feels like.
It’s incredibly difficult to heal something that you’re not fully able to experience.
Dance flexes the ‘muscle’ of self-knowledge from the inside out, so that when something goes wrong, we can adeptly address the heart of the issue.
There are thriving dance scenes in Albuquerque. Here are a few I love!

Come check out Albuquerque’s newest traffic garden!
Join us Friday, September 18, from 5–7 PM for an afternoon of biking, learning, and fun at the City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation new traffic garden, located just off the Rail Trail between Mountain Road and Bellamah Avenue.
Traffic gardens — sometimes called Safety Towns, Safety Cities, or traffic playgrounds — are small-scale street networks where kids can learn to bike and practice real-world traffic skills in a safe, car-free environment.
Open to all ages! Bring your bike!
There will be free safety gear, swag, paletas, and more.
Come ride, explore the new space, and help us celebrate a great new resource for Albuquerque cyclists!
Sponsored by Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center, Kidical Mass ABQ, and BikeABQ.
