One of the biggest misconceptions with wet balayage is that bleach automatically lifts everything it touches.

It doesn’t

In this case, I knew my previously lightened hair would shift much faster than her darker hair. Add in 5 volume, minimal saturation, and feathering into the dark, and the goal was never to lift her natural level it was to brighten what was already lifted and create a seamless blend.

This is why I preach learning the “why” behind techniques instead of doing them or think they are one shoe fits all technique
