My son and I took a trip to the Pacific Coast, and every moment felt so precious.
He’s a teenager now, and I don’t get the same kind of time with him that I used to. It made me think back to the days when trips like this were the only time he truly had my undivided attention.
When I first started building my business, I worked long hours because I wanted to provide for him and create a better future. Even when I was home, I was still answering messages, thinking about work, or carrying the weight of my business in my mind.
Over the years, I’ve learned to set boundaries and build systems to free time for my family and personal life. I’ve also had to shift my mindset and let go of old beliefs, fears, and the pressure to always be doing more.
So if you’re in the building stage of your career right now, be patient with yourself.
As long as you’re moving toward your goals with intention, the long days won’t last forever. Keep building, but don’t forget to live along the way.

Never assume that clients already know about eyelash cycle.

Why go through unlearning a habit when you can learn the right way from the beginning?
No lash course taught me how to protect my body. It was a mix of guesswork and what felt comfortable, but as the appointment progressed, I started hunching or moving too far from or too close to the client because I was so focused on my craft that I forgot about my sitting position.
It took me a very long time and a lot of effort to unlearn and relearn my sitting position.

I’m wearing gel nail polish and gel overlay in this video.
Based on my experience, this doesn’t damage your gel nails.
I also use lash remover to spot-clean glue spills on various surfaces, but always make sure that the remover doesn’t damage the surface materials.

Lash extensions didn’t just “appear” on Instagram one day; they’ve been evolving for over a century.
From ancient beauty rituals, to painful early experiments, to Hollywood’s dramatic strip lashes, and finally to the semi‑permanent classic, hybrid, and volume sets we know today. Lashes have a history that most clients (and many artists) never hear about.
Understanding where our craft comes from helps us respect it more and take education, safety, and technique seriously.
