Oribe has announced a voluntary recall on select lots of Serene Scalp Densifying Shampoo due to possible bacterial contamination. This does not include all Oribe products — just specific lot numbers of this shampoo.
If you purchased this product, please check the lot number on the bottle and stop using it if it matches the recall.

July reminds us of freedom.
Flags flying, families gathering, fireworks lighting up the sky — it’s easy to celebrate freedom without stopping to think about what it really means.
Recently, I was thinking about a conversation with my sister-in-law, who grew up in Romania. We talked about the American Dream and the idea that in America, you can dream big, work hard, and build a life that reflects your own hopes.
When you’ve always had freedom, it can be easy to take it for granted.
After 40 years in the beauty industry and 27 years building The Salon by Lora Brown, I know success was never guaranteed. There were long days, hard seasons, mistakes, and many lessons learned.
But I had the freedom to choose my path.
The freedom to build a career.
The freedom to pursue a dream.
And I’ve learned something else along the way: freedom gives us opportunity, but we don’t build anything meaningful alone.
This salon exists because of a team — stylists, support staff, mentors, clients, family, and friends who believed in the vision and helped carry it forward.
Every person matters.
Every role matters.
Every contribution matters.
This Independence Day, may we remember the people who sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy, and may we honor them by serving well, working hard, and building something that outlasts us.
The American Dream is still alive.
And I still believe in it.

Four years ago, Alyssa walked through our doors and became part of The Salon by Lora Brown family.
When I look back on what makes a salon successful, it’s never just about great hair. It’s about people. It’s about relationships. It’s about showing up day after day, taking care of clients, supporting teammates, and continuing to grow.
That’s exactly what Alyssa has done.
Over the last four years, she has invested in her craft, built meaningful relationships with her clients, and become an important part of the experience we work so hard to create every day.
Over these four years, she has continued learning, growing, and embracing the systems and teamwork that make our salon special. In an industry where so many stylists feel like they have to do everything alone, Alyssa has shown the power of being part of a team that supports one another and grows together.
What makes anniversaries like this meaningful is not just the number of years. It’s the countless conversations, transformations, celebrations, and life moments shared with clients along the way.
